Zelda-like game Anodyne is being temporarily given away as a freebie game for the first time on itch.io, as part of its 10th Anniversary celebration - I was a bit late in noticing this, and no one else seems to have posted this on OzBargain.
- Giveaway on itch.io ends in a few hours, Monday Feb 6th 9:00pm AEDT
- Anodyne game listing on Steam is still at full price A$14.50
- The 2D+3D sequel, Anodyne 2, is also on sale for the anniversary (-50%, ~A$14.50). It is also available on Nintendo Switch.
- Anodyne was previously included in the Indie bundle for Palestinian Aid and Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality - so if you have previously purchased either or both of these itch.io bundles, then you can already download Anodyne.
Anodyne Release Trailer video & Game Description
Explore the wondrous dream world of the human Young.
Anodyne is a unique Zelda-like game, influenced by games such as Yume Nikki and Link's Awakening. In Anodyne, you'll visit areas urban, natural, and bizarre, fighting your way through dungeons and areas in Young's subconscious.
Originally released in 2013 by Marina Kittaka and Melos Han-Tani. Buy the OST at Melos's bandcamp
Anodyne features Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian-Portugese and Spanish language options.
- The Mac version has flickering on fullscreen on some version of Mac OSX. Please play in windowed mode.
- Linux: Anodyne does not have an official Linux version, buy at your own risk - This is unsupported, a very old (but complete) version from 2013 or so. I cannot help you with any bugs for this version. You can try to get the executable working, or you can play the standalone SWF.
Thanks, looks great
