I wouldn't pay $4168 for a TV. 60 inches is way to big for my room and i don't really need hand gestures and voice recognition or micro dimming. All i want is a tv that produces good picture quality. i reckon there are too many gimmicks in todays televisions.

    BTW no offence OP

is there a point you're trying to make? or did you just feel the need to tell us that you don't have $4k, your room is too small for this tv, and you don't like the latest technology & features. what has this got to do with this tv?

what I'm saying is that most people do not need features such as voice control and hand gestures. Its only used for marketing and not many people actually use those features. I have friends with 3D tv's and smart tv's and they barely use these features. Its like Siri on the iPhone. Have you seen anyone in the street talking to their iPhone? No, because it makes you look like a dork. I think hand gestures and voice control are a waste of time, I'd rather pick up the remote and and press a button.

Zelda I tend to agree with you but the fact is that when you actually talk to Siri it doesn't ask to come out as you intended I mean displaces proof because I'm talking to Siri instead of actually talking comment so you can see for yourself how accurate it is (used from talking to Siri)

That's probably why you don't see people talking to their phone

Manufacturers need to continuously come up with new features and gimmicks or pretty soon everyone is buying sub $1k TVs. Disaster for tier one manufacturers. I agree that I have no need for hand gestures to change the volume, but others may like it.

        • I make plenty of hand gestures to my TV. Especially since channel ten is broadcasting Lara Bingle and the Shire crap.

and on other unrelated topics your better off getting the ps64e8000(plasma) bigger screen..better picture..cheaper price….win …win…win

out of stock - and $4.2k does not feel like a "bargain"

  • +4

This is just a deal to disguise the fact the OP is a rep of 'ibestmall' - spam - see users profile

  • Whoa! 4.2k!

  • Quite a decent set of features hopefully to set the baseline of coming models in the future.

Just sit closer to your own TV, you will have the illusion of a 100" TV.

    • Quite true. From ~ 2.25 metres these 60-inch things start falling back from 1080p definition. Quite a sobering thought considering their cost +depreciation.
