    "No bargain"

  • +9

    Where's the OZbargain?

  • +3

    Yikes!!!

  • +17

Saying "no bargain" on a bargain website!?

  • +3

    Cheap! Thanks, bought 10x.

  • +3

    Nice ad

    • Since when is 7k for a laptop considered even reasonable?

At this price point, your better building a desktop with a real 4090 at $3k, not a laptop version of a 4090 which is not even comparable performance wise. Given the 99wh battery, this thing will not be portable anyway for the demands of the gpu, so why even go a laptop at this price?

  • +7

"Card power is at 175W. "

    "Battery Li Polymer 99Wh"

OK, I'm getting the impression that one would need this plugged in if you were planning to use it for more than 20 minutes…

    • +4

I’m thinking 20 minutes might be a tad ambitious.

    • +2

There’s no way the battery could discharge anywhere near 175W. youll have to have it plugged in to get the full performance

  • +1

I'll consider it once it's gone down by $50.

    • +1

Its almost $7000 why would $50 make a difference

      • +1

Your wallet doesn't care where savings come from.

    • Cue for people whining they didn’t get it cheaper by $3 five months after release date.

  • +7

Not a bargain to be seen.

  • +2

Thanks op ordered 4090 of them

  • +14

Should be in the forum's considering the OP doesn't even view it as a bargain!

  • some companies allow for people to buy a laptop and the company will reimburse (company laptops) which is why I am thinking they would buy this so under those condition OP post should stay up

  • Bought two to have a 8180 rtx

Need to sell my car first to get this

    No bargain

  • This belongs on http:/ozrrp.shop

Damn it!! Already sold one kidney for a desktop 4090. Well! Lifetime dialysis here I come!!

  • +2

Pre order, looks like RRP. Too much of a niche product for this kind of post.

    No bargain

  • +3

Can build a desktop 4090 PC and save a few grand.

    • +6

Yeah good point. A desktop is much more portable than you'd think. You just need a battery pack, portable monitor, backpack, lapdesk. You see it all the time in cafes, on trains.

      • +4

Plus about 90% of people who are shopping for a gaming laptop won't actually ever do any serious gaming on the go.

They just need both a gaming PC and a laptop and assume (incorrectly) that it's just as cheap/fast/portable to combine them.

  • +2

    So funny! Not.

    Not a bargain.

  • MODSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

  • Good number

  • +1

    So…where's the OzBargain bargain?

  • OzJokePosts

  • +1

No mention of discount and even a mention of it not being a bargain.

Must've got confused with the oznobargain sister site…

  • my fear, if had to buy this, not because of the depreciation, but of dropping or breaking the thing myself.

  • where is the bought 10 comment?

  • +1

    Not a bargain

  • +1

    "No bargain, but"

    But what?

  • +1

Didn't realise I had logged into oznobargain.com.au this morning

  • +1

    No activated OS, no bargain

  • +1

this is OzBargain, right? let's examine the evidence on this deal:

    Oz: check
    Bargain: miss

1 out of 2 that's not bad! some "deals" fail to hit even that mark! here's an upvote for the courage

  • +2

    It's 2023.

Every one and their mom is using 16:10 18' screens in their top end models.

    Except Gigabyte.

    Bravo!

The adv.optimus and vapor chamber does look sweet, but so does everyone else this year with even more updated gimmicky coolings, Gigabyte isnt really offer anything more here for a no lessor pricepoint. Shame really.

  • For $7000 you can buy a nice 4080/90 desktop and a thin + fast laptop still save money. Some may buy it but there is no reason to.

    • or you can stick two 4090 in an OptiPlex

  • Damn.. when did laptops get this expensive?

    • -3

Laptops are cheaper and more capable than ever.

Relating this to cars, this would be similar to someone who doesn't know cars looking at the price of a fully specced out luxury car and drawing the conclusion that cars got expensive.

  • $7000, yikes! I know this is a top end laptop but it makes me worried for the prices of low to midrange options

  • -2

Oh ffs I just bought that Macbook pro max cause it was selling like pancakes, one guy got 5. OZB brains-crust be damned!!!

    ima return it for this.

  • +1

    No bargain

    Damn straight

  • +1

    This a Preorder, eta 2/3/2023.

Why post this then ? belongs in the forums…

  • +1

    And I thought 3.5k laptop non-bargain posts didn't belong

  • +1

    Not a bargain.

  • All that for less than 7 grand?!

    I'll take two

  • Geez I can buy a 12yr old hyundai i20 for this price

  • yeah no bargain.

  • Not a deal and laptop 4090 is not a 4090. 😡
