Hmmm it's really not clear is it.
As you said their site lists 640M but under Specification then lists 630M…
And they are actually a fair amount apart graphics wise.
And seems a bit sus how they say "We can't advertise the model here, but this model sell well above this price."
THIS LAPTOP DOES NOT COME WITH A 640M … this kind of information is very misleading.
It comes with a 630m… thats nothing special at all and still on 40nm. PM please fix your information

This is dodgey, refusal to publish the model number means there is no way to compare pricing on this and no way to know if you're getting a deal, as mentioned above, the specifications they have published are not accurate, so there is no way of know what the heck you're buying here.

I bought this from JB hifi a couple of months back. Specs are same as above but 4 gig ram and 630m 1gb for $670. When they had their 20% off deal. The model is V3-571G. There are quite a few different configs out there with the same model number. So check thoroughly before you buy.

There are many specs of V3-571 exists including the 8GB RAM + 640m one, but not on Acer Australia official websites.

Actually, notice how the specs list there doesn't mention the graphics chipset at all… only the title does.. that's because it TOO only has a 630m.
easiest way to check - go to the Acer website and look for the V3 series… there isn't any with the i5-2450M cpu (which is only 2nd gen) listed with a 640m.
it's not just the 640M that's a typo.. on the specification tab it has i3 not i5 lol
but that shop usually has good feedback though

Im going to have to believe this is actually a decent deal, only 20 bucks cheaper then MSY but good specs for what you get (apart from it being an acer :P )
In my experience manufacturer websites are always extremely vague on specs as they make so many different models of each laptop and are always the last place to look if you want correct information on a product.

maybe someone could swing by MSY or somewhere and ask if they can check the graphics properties etc…
I might go down at lunch time, Msy is 2 min walk up the road from work.
What I was trying to say is that manufacturers make a heap of different models for each model (lol?), they do custom jobs for hardly normals and other retailers. More often then not the manufacturers website is actually inaccurate as to specs.

Warning the specs on their website say its a geforce 630m but also above it says 640m
which is correct? The specs below on their website are probably wrong as they say 4gb as well instead of 8gb.
