And even then, the dlc are very isolated into their own maps. Only some has universal mechanics, like pets, owning businesses, or off the grid/tiny living modifiers.
Celebrity dom and actor career path might be the most interesting dlc to ever release in sims 4. That's the one I definitely suggest to get.
Or just pirate the whole thing.
I've been saying this about Paradox Games for a long time, what they really should do, is roll the older expansions into the base game after like X period (say 2 to 3 years). If nothing else you aren't having to support multiple different configurations of what if X has Y but not Z except with sometimes over 50 variables.
99% of the people who will buy the DLC Packs will buy them in the first year. So why not reduce the support costs on the back end.
Then only option is go back to Simcity 2000
This is true but FYI for anyone else wondering I've had hours and hours of entertainment playing just the base game. There was plenty to do. Maybe because I wasn't into the SIM's previously so it was all new.
Is it free on Steam as well??
Steam, PS4, PS5, XB1, XSX, Origin, and now Epic
Base: free
DLC collection: $1443.85
Nice
Like a cocaine dealer, the first taste is free!
No wonder they call us "Users"
That number is inaccurate since they have various bundles that combine multiple DLC which all get added together into that price.
Idk that number was what was showing on steam for the total of all available dlc to me. It’s definitely still going to be a few hundred dollars easily?
Nope, looks accurate for buying the pieces separately while not double buying via bundles etc
Finally I can have transgender ‘top surgery’ scars and chest binders for free!
Is that in a DLC?!?
Agreed, woke nonsense
@Justsendit: It's woke to include people in game about people?
It's just customization options that you never even have to consider. Just like many of the expansion packs.
@Willy Beamish: "People crying inclusion are just cry baby's who want attention."
@Justsendit: While I agree that media is infested with woke nonsense, in this case, the target audience for this game would probably want it.
Hey no judgement here mate, whatever you're into.
Just wondering if this would run on a MacBook Pro?
Neither Steam nor Epic have the Mac version. You need to get it through the Origin app.
https://www.ea.com/origin-for-mac
Doesn't this require the external EA app, just like it does on Steam? I don't see why you'd bother getting it 'via' Epic Games if you download the EA app (required), or already have Steam installed. I mean, paying EA stupendous amounts for all the DLC you'll actually want to play is also ridiculous.. but you can at least cut out one useless middleman.
Yes
Sims 4 is a good game but before buying any expansions just bear in mind Sims 5 is already in playtesting.
I hear it is Sims 4 with a new hat.
Isn't that the norm for AAA sequels?
Problem with the new sims games is that there is very limited content in the base game and the expansions really add up cost wise
