10 Nights South Pacific Vanuatu Cruise (Depart SYD 20-Mar-2023) - Quad Room 4 People for $1436 @ P&O Cruises

400

PO Cruises have the buy2 get 2 free offer. The 10 Nights cruise from Syd to pacific islands comes to $1439 for 4 people roughly $34 per night per person.

Each to their own - I guess anything less than $100 a night is a good deal, at $34 a night is a steal. Of course it is going to be cramped in the room and then there is the risk of getting sick etc etc …. but for someone who loves cruising and can live with 4 people (possibly a family with 2 kids) it can’t get much better than this.

There are more cruises on offer

Just posting this as an example as I found this to be the best value for money from Sydney.

Enjoy!

  • How does P&O rate compared to others?

Do all 4 have to be in the same room? Edit, looks like 4 in a single room. How big is a suite? 😊

In our experience they’re at the bottom of the cruise ship pile.
      Royal Caribbean > Princess > Carnival >> P & O

      • The above is true, but it doesn't say how big the difference is. It's like 1 is less than 8, but 7 is also less than 8. In this case the differences are quite small.

In hotel terms it's probably like comparing Holiday Inn to Hilton. A few less frills, but still perfectly fine for most.

I've been on both Royal Caribbean and P&O. If Royal Caribbean is a 10, then P&O is a 4. After being on an RC cruise, I won't ever book another cruise with P&O.

If you are only interested in the destination, sure go P&O and save a few bucks. But if you actually want so have fun on the boat, RC all the way.

    • have only been on P&O so can’t really compare. But have no complaints- really happy with them.
Yes - all 4 have to be in the same room. Otherwise the price doubles which is still a good price I would say.

It is not a suite at this its a small hotel size room. 3/4 will either be sleeping in bunks that drop from
The ceiling or on a pull out couch.
I found P&O Australia to be quite horrible. Some like it though.

  • Do you still need to be vaccinated to go on cruises

According to this page - Yes

More importantly, why would you go on a cruise without being vaccinated?

I think we all know the vax's don't stop you getting it, the symptoms if you do have it, or passing it on.
