How much more will you be paying for your bills though using Energy Australia?

    • +1

From what I could find their tarrifs are average for QLD - around 25 cents Kw and 108 cents supply charge. Hard to find anything signifcantly cheaper, all seem to rotate around there.

Energy Australia screwed me for $400 years ago, and it took 6 months to get that money back… never again no matter how much cashback i get!

      Energy Australia

Should be called Energy China instead.

Energy Australia, despite its name, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-based China Light and Power Co Ltd, while Alinta Energy is owned by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises.

Energy Australia screwed me for 400 years ago, and it took 6 months to get that money back…

  • what's the catch?

Highest prices are just the beginning.

  • Checking my present gas bill,it looks like I will be paying hundreds of dollars more every year if I shift to Energy Australia. Pass!

    • Which energy provider is the cheapest at the moment?

      • it depends

  • So you would have to stay with them for about 180 days before you can leave? I just signed up with Red Energy last month and received my 15,000 Qantas points. Looking now for the next incentive to jump on to.

    • never had to wait that long on the past, i think they specify 180 days due to meter reads being quarterly.

i’m on some sort of shit list with them for churning too often i think, they just reject my applications now.

      • It’s monthly electricity meter reads in Melbourne due to smart meters.

  • This is more expensive than Agl

Looks like you tried pretty hard to hide the Econnex bit.

Cashback is ineligible on the following: Clicking via the Econnex.com.au

  • who to change to after them ? how long do I need to be with others before picking this up again ?

I am using Energy Au, it's the cheapest I can find among big resellers in Sydney. But remind you that it need a promote code from their agent to get the good price.

    • What code did you use?

  • I am with them and got a good deal thru seniors website, for one year.

  • Seems to have expired. Only showing as $70 for electricity signups now.
