Big W are clearing their DeLonghi 3-in-1 Digital Multigrills. Not sure how many they have but I was able to add 10 to my cart before they banned my IP 😉.

In the end I was able to purchase one with free delivery. I could only see two places in all of Australia that had stock but free delivery? (they orignally quoted a standard delivery cost from $7.90 but when I went to pay, delivery was free) should hopefully make that point mute.

Edit: Oh yeah, shopback looks like they have 8% cashback. Not sure if it tracks (they mention something about Westpac cards) but I gave it a shot anyway.

Also GregFiona has mentioned that you can possibly get an extra 10% off if you are an Everyday Rewards Extra member and have your monthly discount available. There is a free 30-day trial too.

George Foreman would be rolling in his grave

Got one of those as a gift. Should be rolling around at the bottom of the wheelie bin.

Also, while he's probably not all there, he isn't quite dead yet. Surprised me…

Had to check Wikipedia. He is 74.

    • After owning many George Foreman grills I’d never buy another. Awful quality. Cheap build.

This delonghi may not be original but it’s far better quality and worth this price

    • The portable grill does have wheels

Is this better than the Kogan one posted the other day?

$179.10 with Everyday Extra Rewards coupon(10%discount)

    • Hmm, how do you apply that? I didn't know about it. :(

Edit: I went and tried to purchase again as a test and I still don't see any mention of it anywhere. I wonder if my opting out of marketing material means I don't get the offer.

      • +3

It's a 10% off once a month if you are in Everyday Extra rewards. 30 day free trial then paid after that. Google Everyday Extra Rewards.

Ahh, yeah I'm only with the regular rewards program. While it would be good to get the free trial and try to purchase again, things like this always seem to backfire on me. Lost a few deals recently as I fluffed around cancelling and reordering…

I don't spend enough at Woolies/BigW to use the extra perks as a regular membership either.

          • @ozbs25: It’s good to know one’s limits as an OzBargainer sometimes - you can drive yourself crazy trying to stack discounts and cashback while maximising points accrual, all because you just felt like a ham and cheese toastie.

Also paying for 1 month will get you 2 months worth of coupons :)

      • +2

https://www.woolworthsrewards.com.au/extra.html I got the free trial last month, I decided to continue as the $59 yearly fee is much less that the 10% discount coupons(1x Woolies and 1x BigW every month)

        • It seems like a no-brainer if you shop at the stores regularly but we really only buy a few things here and there and would never ever get close to spending enough in a single transaction to take advantage of the 10% coupons. I don't think we'd make back the annual fee.

          • @ozbs25: True, you break even with spending just $49.17 at Wollies a/o BigW per month, plus extra points and perks, no brainer for a normal-big family with Woolies close-by

          • @ozbs25: But you literally do not even need a brain to get the free trial. You can be anencephalic and still get 10% off this grill.

            • @Meconium: I have missed deals due to canceling and rebuying in the past so I didn't want to mess with it. I didn't think it would last this long. Cashback tracked so I do get a decent amount of cash back.

  • Might seem like a stupid question, but where does all the fat go? Can't see a drain or catch tray.

    • Have a look at this video

Edit: I don't know the exact model no. of the one we are buying but it looks to be the same multigrill.

There is a removable plastic box in the back that catches the oil. It works and is easy to use

The real problem with this grill is the stupidly loud beeping. It’s insane how loud and much this thing beeps.

Otherwise it’s great and worth the money

      • I really do not understand why every appliance aparrently needs to beep and beep loudly. It genuinely baffles and borderline enrages me.

Thanks OP. grabbed one. Time to look for the waffle plate attachment.

    • Yeah, I set up a camel alert. While not cheap at ~$50, it doesn't seem too bad if this ends up being good at making waffles.

      • Camel alert? Thats only for amazon right?

        • Yes.

  • I have this and it only comes with 1 x Grill and 1 x Griddle plate and not a pair of each

  • Paid more for this with that 40% off sale delonghi had, don't even use it except for the waffle plate (paid extra for that too).

    Good price though

    • How good is this for waffles? Comparing with waffles makers made for only that purpose?

      • +1

It's nice and large, I like that it has removable trays, but not easy to clean.

Other than that it operates similarly to every other waffle maker, but I feel like it's really well made and will last a very long time.

If you do just want waffles, look into a quality brand like brevile.

  • Is there a toastie/jaffle attachment for this? While it's mentioned on Delonghi site, I can't find it anywhere.

    • You can make a grilled cheese sandwich, not sure what the difference is

  • Anyone used https://www.sunbeam.com.au/kitchen-and-home/cooking/sandwich… ?
How does it compare to this one in the post for occasional use ?

    • +1

I have this griller, while its a great griller, it doesnt have temp control, you cant interchange the hot plates becaus they dont come off

  • +1

    Are plates removable for cleaning?

    • +1

You can get other plates like waffles or grid plates separately so you should be able to change or remove the plates easily.

  • +1

Has anyone compared these to the Breville (Sear and Press, Smart Grill) and Tefal (Optigrill) options?

  • Which store have these in stock ?

    • I think Bega, Canberra City, North Albury and Wangaratta may have stock. With free delivery wouldn't it be better to just get it delivered?

  • It doesn’t let me give me the option to buy it. Only check availability is showing.

    • Sorry, not sure why you can't purchase it. I can still add to cart and move on to the next steps.
