I missed the "half price" deal of JB.

It is now available at $2450. I would like to know if it is really worth this price tag.

Any comments please?

    not a expert in projectors by any means,

    but I think projector with [ultra short throw + this brightness] are all sold roughly the same price tag.

    I guess just stock up gift cards next time you see GCs on special?

    btw if you buy GCs and buy the projector straight away, you won't risk the projector run out of stock / discontinued and you stuck with GCs of that store. Or if you willing to take the risk and wait for projector to go on special too?

    Guess you can always buy GCs, walk into the branch and talk to the sales see if you can make a price negotiation?

    Consider you’ll also most likely need the dedicated ust screen too if u want the best performance

    These short throw projectors look completely pointless when you can buy a decent 85" TV for less than 2k and a no-name for under 1500.

    Dedicated media room of appropriate size? Sure, highly recommend a projector for 120-200".
    Every other use case? No way.

    Coles has a blowup screen for $180. Not sure if it fits.

    Ultra Short Throw Laser projectors need an ALR screen and a Dark room to enjoy them to their potential.

    i was fortunate enough to be loaned a Samsung P7 a while back for a weekend, had it on my white wall 3m wide x 2.4m - was pretty impressive (the edges got a little blurry as i exceeded the 90" desired screen size it is intended for)

    I did see an Epson LS500 in action, that was 4000 lumens so it looked like a TV in the daytime on an ALR screen

    Hisense at Costco had a display in their TV section displaying on an ALR screen, looked impressive at the time, but not $5k impressive. For $2.5K i would say that is a better reflection of its value

      Costco display made me confuse about laser tv, the picture looked blurry and very dark even on the specia screen it projected to. I guess that is an old model from hisense the PL1H is new release 2023?
