When scooters are illegal in the two states which actually would benefit the most from them lmao

NSW Police quite heavily enforce the law around Sydney, while Vicpol around Melbourne CBD don't care too much unless you're riding like an idiot. You see them everywhere around Melbourne CBD and the bike lane infrastructure is really good for it.

At least in SA Labor have said they'll make them legal at some point.

      • SA Libs and greens want to do it as well. Hopefully that will fastrack it here as I don't want to ride mine and risk hassle

I live down on the coast VIC, there's heaps of them. Police do nothing, to the extent where heaps of kids ride them without helmets, some adults too (idiots). The assumption is there's no rules. I think the Police know these people are only really a danger to themselves so they don't worry too much.
Police should absolutely be fining people riding these on footpaths.

  • In nsw can i use this on the pedestrian area? (Not in cbd)

Sure but it's still illegal outside of private property.
