AGL Website (My Account) Is Trash. Who to Switch to?

Anyone here also have issues with the AGL my account website not loading properly? Gets stuck on "loading", or takes 10 years to even load and then fails.

I had set up direct debit with a new credit card, it was confirmed and all, except for some reason it never 'saved' and my last bill payment was missed. So I tried to log in today to pay and the website is just trash and won't load. Had to use Microsoft Edge and it somehow loaded (intermittent of course). Such a mission to pay my damn bill.

Which retailer are you with for electricity and gas that have a somewhat decent online portal?

    Sounds like their website is just having a day, probably no one around today to fix it. Or have you made sure to check adblockers and such aren't causing issues?

    Anyway, I use energy australia and the site is good. I'm moving house and was able to setup the move in to a new place and move out of an old (on different dates) and it seems to have worked great.

      It's not just having a day. Look through their online forum and you will see plenty of people reporting issues. Even a web developer who could see their issues posted on there.

        Fair enough. I was a contractor there once… doesn’t surprise me. Never used their services though.

    Just checked for lols and, wow. The website is more or less always absolutely shithouse. Right now, however, it's snappier than I've ever seen it in my life. Of course, YRMV.

    I don’t mind the site. But I’ve had your issue with the CC. I’d registered the new card with them but somehow didn’t allocate it (?) for use with the bills. Missed payment. Gave them a call and sorted it

    Which retailer are you with for electricity and gas that have a somewhat decent online portal?

    How much higher in electricity rates are you willing to go just for a better website? You could give AGL a call and get them to try add your card to your account again for DD.
    If you were to switch because of this, would you then switch again if the new provider's website isn't up to your expectations?

    It's the internet - webpages can sometimes go down, server issues, load issues, etc - shit happens.

    Energy australia has a nice my account app and I believe the rates would be similar to AGL

    Power shop app is good. i am much impressed on their solar usage & export report.

    better price than agl & energy Australia.
