LG Optimus Spirit has better specifications for your money. Faster processor and bigger battery. Can be unlocked for cheap too.

    • true both 850/2100mhz

        Hi,
I just called Coles earlwood store. They said at moment they have Samsung,Nokia and Huawei in special.

    • Hi
Its could be much appreciate if you send me the direct link for unlock.can I use vodafone sim?

    • But the design, both software and hardware-wise, is much worse than the HTC Explorer…

  • What about a Huawei IDEOS X3?

    • It's about the same as the HTC Explorer, but not as cheap or fast as the Spirit

Having used both this and the LG Optimus Spirit, the Huawei is nowhere near as easy to use

  • I was looking for a cheap Android, but this one only has a 320 x 480 display.

    • korrect dat why it cheap.

    • Xperia U prepaid for Crazy Johns for $179 has a 640x480 resolution, dual core and 3.5 inch.

      • Ta. The Acer MT had that res ages ago for not much more than $99, so its not too much to ask for.

      • Good find imo, $179 for dual core phone is a sweet deal, and I just love the design of the new Xperia models. Now if only there is cheap unlock for the handset.

Though only 512MB ram and non-expandable storage may not appeal to everyone.

      • do you know how to unlock the one from crazy john? could not find any information on ebay
        thanks

  • Yes, but does it:

    1. work as both phone & data device, using -Woolies- (Optus) SIM?

      -AND-

    2. serve as a WiFi Access Point for, eg, Android tablets?

If so, I -want- one (unlocked, of course).
