Bowden's Own Happy Ending Snow Cannon Bottle $15.96 ($15.56 with eBay Plus) Delivered @ Sparesbox eBay

400
BTSR22BTSR20

For those who recently bought the Bowden's Own Mega Blow Pack Combo from Repco or already have the Snow Blow Cannon, you might want to get a 2nd bottle to apply the Happy Ending so you don't have to wash the bottle to use the 2 products. This saves waste as you can use the leftover for the next car wash. The label also has marking for correct mix ratios.

Note that it is an empty bottle.

These are normally being sold between $19.95 to $20.99.

I realised this is Sparesbox and they have a reputation for being slow to deliver or even cancel your order. However, so far, I have made about half a dozen orders and all have turned up either within days or in a couple of weeks. YMMV.

  • Does anybody know if the threads/neck on this will fit with the Meguiar's snow cannon?

    • -2

      yes it will maybe

      • Yep i agree, there is definately a strong possibility

    • +3

I searched through the Bowden's Own Facebook group and I found a response:

"The Meguiar's cannon head is a different thread to ours, so the bottles won't be interchangeable between brands."
      (Posted 18 weeks ago)

      • Oh wow! Thanks so much!
Would never have expected them to mention the competitor with such specificity on their website so didn’t even think to look.
        Cheers for the info!

        • +1

Not from their website, "Bowden's Own Detailers" group on Facebook. People ask all sorts of questions and most of the time you get helpful responses.

    • Yes it does. I have been using both for few years now

This is a bargain as it’s the cheapest “Happy ending” I’ve ever seen..

    • +4

      It's a mega blow.

    • I'm tempted to buy it just for the name.

    • cheapest “Happy ending” I’ve ever seen..

Is ”ive seen” referencing the viewing of the advertised price or the actual implementation of said ending ?

    • Sometimes you can get it free from around the back of the gents office

  • This is very handy as you wont use a whole mixed bottle of snow job, 1 mix has lasted me 3 or so washes so you wont waste any if you want to use the happy ending also. I just got this myself. Expensive for a plastic bottle but atleast its exactly the right fit and has the measurements marked.

I find a decent benefit in doing 2x coats of happy ending. It seems to add onto itself and stay smoother for longer than just 1x coat.

      • +2

        They recommend doing two coats

        • It makes a difference. And I find the leftovers are fairly insubstantial from the standard amount of Happy Ending recommended, when using 2x coats.

  • +5

Wow they've really got consumers by the balls with this one - either waste a whole bunch of product or buy our $20 empty plastic bottle.

Cheaper than buying a seperate foam cannon complete.

In saying that, I have a better foam cannon for the snow foam/wash …the skinny fill neck on this, is too hard to pour in Bowdens green snow foam without spilling any. (Either from the wide mouth bottle or cap)

So purely use my bowdens snow foam cannon, just for happy ending…that comes in a 1 litre squirt style bottle. The markings are good, (900ml & 100ml, for 9:1) but even filling that 100ml from the standard happy ending bottle, with the standard cap, should be easier.

Since the happy ending lasts longer, even with two coats on the 4wd, I can usually get two washes from the HE mix. Leave the cannon head on this bottle as it doesn't come with a cap…..so having half filled bottles without a lid is pointless.

I prefer a wide mouth opening foam cannon though

      TLDR:

Pointless not having a cap/lid. Full neck is too small.

      • +2

The bottle does come with a cap.

        • +1

Yeah mine came with a cap. Save a lot of product by having the two bottles.

      • The Mega Snow Job from the combo pack also comes in a squirt bottle.

      • What foam cannon are you using if not the bowdens own?

        • I personally use an MTM PF22 with a quick connect, on my Kranzle 1152

    • I’m a big Bowdens fan, but $20rrp for the bottle is crazy

  • +6

This should store quite a few happy endings.

  • Noticed it comes with a cap so bought one to save product but mainly for convenience.

  • +1

I would spend the extra few bucks and get one from a local retailer, at least then you'll actually receive it!

  • +1

    Happy Ending…. lol

I just bought a $2 bottle from bunnings as the second bottle 🤷‍♂️

    • +5

You managed to find the Bowden's Own Happy Ending Snow Cannon Bottle in Bunnings for $2! Brilliant, please share which Bunnings store, will be forever grateful! If you have the item number for it too, would be even better - thanks for the heads up too!

    • +1

Mind sharing the link? Fit the cannon?

      I would want one too.

      • +1

        Me three!

  • I honestly thought this was artificial “stuff” for use in adult entertainment…

The real deal is megs ultimate compound from the same seller. For $24.14.

    • Any recommended polishing machines?

      • @imaxsameer you could just use your hands if you're starting out and want to test it out on an inconspicuous section of the car, like the rear hatch, or the passenger door. Get a polishing pad and use the compound and let your hand do the work.

THEN, if you think you can stomach it, buy the machine. I see you're in Sydney. PM me and I can show you mine and how it works if you like.
I have the DA Polisher, mind is a blank atm, will have to tell you later, but usually $130 on SCA/Repco.

        • Yeah I did polish my car a few years ago, I spent 2 days on it and many hours but the results weren't great. I think i'd do it much for quickly and effectively using a polisher. Taking the polish off with hand takes a lot of effort. Wax is much easier.

I am in Sydney around Hornsby area. What about you?

  • Beats Thailand specials 🤣

  • I have alternated through Bowdens products , snow job and wash liquids….to be honest I cannot not see what all the hype is about. I have washed the car with and without using the snow job first….there is Zero noticeable difference. There is no way in hell I'm paying $20 for a $.50 plastic bottle.

    • +1

It's $16, so you definitely shouldn't pay $20 for it!

  • I've just got an order update with the tracking number.

    • I just got my order cancelled. They said out of stock but the listing is still up on ebay…

      • same. disappointed, but not unexpected.

      • Mine was cancelled too - they said I requestred to cancel it, which I didn't. Grrr - chatted with eBay support and reported it. Probably won't do anything - I don't think eBay cares about anything much other than making money.

        • I can confirm that my order too was cancelled by Sparesbox themselves, but the reason shown is:
          Cancellation reason
          "Buyer asked to cancel"

This is definitely not true and quite dishonest on sparesbox's part.

  • Order cancelled insufficient stock

  • Received mine on Monday 30/1/23. Happy days :)
