will wait for >$3 profit. lol

    • -1

What do you mean? This is $8 profit, isn't it?

      • +3

        This is break even.

There have been offers on OZB earlier where you pay, as an example, $12 but get $15 cashback through cash rewards. That's a $3 profit.

        • +3

Ah, I see. Thanks for explaining.

        • If you can be bothered you can save on one months phone bill I guess πŸ˜‚

  • For free?

  • +2

Just curious as to how many Boost services you can have? I have activated 1 each month for the last 6 months and then let them expire. I use them purely for the data on mine and my daughter's mobile.

    • How do you activate more than 1? It doesn't let me reuse my ID twice.

      • +2

You need to log into your boost account, then they will let you activate more than 1 sim.

        • Can't believe I never thought of that, thanks!

          • +3

@Sex: Must be too busy thinking about something else. .

    • 5 so far and counting (but only ever 2 active at any one time). I've got another two in my name, and I got the 5G advice / speed cap email to the same email address for those other two, so I guess it is four active at the same, time, but the other two don't show up in the My Boost app.

    • +1

I apparently had 7 a couple of days ago according to an email "Important changes to your Prepaid network access." Now 8 as I activated one today, unless one of the older ones has dropped out.

      • I got that email as well, it's sent to everyone.

    • 10 is max per ID.

      • Many have gone beyond 10 like this and the comment below.

    • +1

17 on my services list, most used up (0KB remaining), a few expired, 3 active (xxGB remaining)

      • Someone said a number between 35 to 45 in the T &Cs that I can't find the comment.

  • Ok, so I'm on Optus Prepaid. Service is bad, and Optus have just told me to go find a dfiferent carrier.

. . I'm just about to port to Kogan (Kogan works fine here). This will keep me going for 28 days. Then I 'should' be able to port to Boost to make the 30 day activation guideline.

  • Can I buy multiple SIM cards, each with a different transaction, for $8 cashback for each transaction? (all on one Cashrewards account)

  • Anyone know how many SIM cards you can have on one account before they disallow you to activate more?

  • Excuse me if this is a silly question

Could I buy a bunch of these and then use them to recharge each month via a boost online chat person?

I know I would only get the cash back on the first month (within 30 days of purchase), but could still avail of the cheap monthly rate?

  • Does anyone else have issues activating Boost or Telstra sims, I always get through the ID part ok then I get a "Something went wrong" error when I try to click through the address page…

I always end up having to waste 1/2 hour in chat to get them activated.. I've asked the reps why it always fails for me but they claim it must be my browser and they tell me to clear my history and such… I've tried on multiple PC's and a phone, always with the same result, next time I'll try an incognito browser or Edge browser I guess…

    • +1

Ditto. No clue what the cause is but chat always worked as plan b for me. Unsure if it's worth the financial saving though

      • +1

Chat always activate them for me with no issue but it always ends up taking about 30 mins because they seem to be dealing with a bunch of people at the same time… You reply to them instantly then they take 5 mins or more to reply, then you reply instantly and they take another 5 mins to reply, and so on.. It's damn frustrating…

        • have the same message just trying to buy a boost sim, keep getting the errors, so can't even get to the activation stage

          • @beesquared: Sorry I cant help you there, I've never had an issue buying them.. (with a Comm Bank VIsa card)…

          • +1

@beesquared: Swap to a different email address, mobile number (use your last Boost Sim), postal address - whenever you get that message.

I find using a postal address with ".. Road" is different to ".. Roa d". If you catch my drift. Pretty sure it has been mentioned in these forums previously (someone else's idea).

            • +1

@inamberclad: Have tried swapping all details, even used another address as mine has β€˜ included. There was a post on a previous deal that mentioned there is a fraud checking process they use that could cause the issue. That post suggested the used different emails and to manually enter the address.

I have tried >20 times and have only been able to get it to work twice, I just keep trying every now and then.

Try log into your boost account, then activate your sim

  • +1

Any one know how long generally it takes for the cash back to be approved after activation? Still waiting for the cash back from a previous deal.

    Thanks in advance.

    • It tells you on your rewards account, but for the month of November, they approve 1 month after you activate your sim, but for the December one, is been over one month, probably because of the public holidays, hopefully

    • Their ops process is real bag in comparison with others cashback apps. I need to send request everytime whenever through their apps.

  • not sure about the activate in 30 day thing. i just activated one of these from 3 months ago… works fine

    • The 30 days activation is for the cashback

      • replying to the "SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering." above

        • SIM cards expire after May 2024 for the recent batch. You can find it on the packet. BG said: For 100% successful cashback approval, active it in 30 days.

Maybe your cashback was approved as well, keep it as your secret, especially do not tell CR/TA.

  • The T&C states β€œAll data offers are valid for new customers only who activate or first recharge by 30 January 2023.”

What does that mean for this SIM? I want to buy and activate this on 8 February 2023, can I do that?

  • -1

11.33 cashback on $8 simcard? Right

  • 100% cashback ($10) now for the same SIM

  • Well, can't activate the sim (Boost's site is under maintenance)
