Any actual bargains or have they baked the shipping price into their sale price?

    • They have a 12v Rovin 15L portable fridge (compressor based) for $199

Not as good as the jaycar deals last month, but still a bargain price imo.

    • +1

They have their catalogue specials but other than that not really. Biggest issue i have with them is alot of smaller items are not actually purchasable online. Was looking for some 4mm irrigation fittings and thought i could save myself a trip however everything i was interested in don't have a price listed or the ability to add to cart

      • +1

Yeah this is what I thought too

    • As OP mentioned, my favourite white powder, is still discounted $55 for 10kg.
      No price mark up.

If anyone wants to split the 10kg hmu

      • I bought this during the last sale. Noticed no improvement over the cheapest/kg laundry powder at colesworths. If anything it is worse because there is no “nice” smell to the clothes anymore. Also eucalyptus one requires twice as much as the cheapo one.

        • I know nothing about this brand but could depend on if you have a top load or front load. As example Omo Ultimate Powder in past as been judged the best for top loaders, but is much worse in front loaders where there are other brands which are much better, but I don't know what brands are better for front loaders as I don't have one and never bothered to remember

        • How much are you using? For front loaders, only meant to be 20g, which is the equivalent to 1/4 a fabric softener cap. Other powders I've seen from supermarkets uses half a scoop.

Does the homebrand stuff leave the clothes smelling nice? It's true the Euca stuff doesn't smell like laundry, but I enjoy the fresh neutral smell.

What's your second favourite white powder?

        • +3

I'm even willing to try the third favourite

          • @shmahoo: If in Canberra there's free testing to see what it really contains…

  • Good time to grab a new garden hose

    • Are you actually gonna buy it though mate? :P

      • +1

        Checking price ha

thanks OP, got 10kg of magic white powder coming. I've never used it, but have seen it mentioned here a lot and been meaning to give it a go.
It's not even in stock at my local store, says 2-5 days however delivery is still $0.

Just in case anyone tries to use multiple gift cards in a single transaction, you can't!

if only they sell pool salt….
dragged my feet everytime i need to get it from bunnings, Amazon should have this product as part of their subscriptions program.

Euca Eucalyptus Laundry Powder 10kg(mitre10.com.au) $55 (See previous deal) $70.80 @ Total Tools, $93 @ Repco

seriously why ozbs are so high on this laundry power?

    • +3

I figure that if something has a rating of 4.9 out of 5 on productreview then it's either a really good product, or they are paying superb commissions for fake positive reviews. Usually that site is where people go only to have a whinge.

    • +2

Aussie made and cleans really well.
      Good for the enviro too!

Happy to pay a bit more to support a local company.

      • smells good? and how do you define cleans really well? aren't the normal detergent sold in your Coles/Woolies cleans well too?

        • It smells fresh, not like laundry per se, but like your clothes are washed. It removes body smells, but otherwise, very neutral. Good for sensitive skin.

It's removed all food and oil stains from my clothes. Works pretty well for bodily fluild. Seems to be the best performing from other products I've used so far

Compared to supermarket ones, it's more expensive by mass. But you only use 20g of powder per load.

    • people are ants, they follow the trend

      • Actually, laundry detergent is a good way to getting rid of ants.

        • Good tip. I tried ant killer and that didn’t work good. Maybe time to sprinkle this on the lawn instead

          • @djsweet: many people never read the instructions with Ant Sand. You sprinkle on lawn but then you have to water it in, only works when liquid disolves the poison so it can enter the ground where the ants spend most of their time. Also supermarket brands often have a poison that kills on contact but it doesn't have the added effect of poisoning the nest/Queen, because the ant dies too quickly

Because it works, enviro friendly, aussie product. Value is not bad either when bought at a good price. I've been using it for several years now very happy.

  • The recent GC sale gets 10% off; can they be used online?

  • I can vouch for Euca. Especially the dishwashing powder and the liquid washing powder are the best!
Tastes differ however, I prefer no "nice" artificial smell on my clothes after wash. Yes some really want it.
Good for allergy sufferers, Euca that is :)

    • +1

      Tastes differ

I sincerely hope you're not eating them

    • Personally found the Ecostore dishwashing powder to be better. Euca leaves a bit of residue on my dishes

  • Euca laundry powder is our go to now. Cheap, Aussie, works well and smells great if that matters.

  • I use euca but I've noticed that clothes don't really smell as opposed to using dynamo and the like. Is this normal or should I up the "dosage"

    • +1

Normal! It's meant to be neutral. I think they have other scents (available on their website) that may be stronger?

I've tried upping the dosage for the scent, but tbh doesn't make a big difference

      • Ok thanks for the confirmation mate, as long as it's cleaning that's all that matters haha

  • Lol thanks. Bought a 2m Stanley Fatmax Tape Measure for $7.5. Only $7 at Bunnings but $10 shipping there
