  • Thanks OP

  • Looks good! Any first hand review?

    • I have it, basic but fine and works with the rest of my batteries

    • +4

Don't rely on it as a "pressure washer". But if you're washing your car and using it to hose down, it's probably fine.

      • +7

I had one, but later sold it on marketplace. It's totally useless and can't wash the car due to very slow pressure and narrow stream.

        • The stream isn't adjustable? My GMC from 2001 can do that

    • +5

Checked few YT reviews. The issue is mostly of low pressure. Won't be of much use in that case.

    • +1

I've had mine for a few years with bottle attachment. It's great for washing bird poo off car etc without hassle of getting the hose out. Bought two more lol

    • I have it and for basic washing serves it’s purpose. Not too heavy, foam attachment (not the best). I also bought a 4ah battery for it and runs long enough with two battery combined. Considering the price it is worth it.

      • Does it come with the foam attachment?

        • +2

When I bought it it came with 2.0 a.h battery , charger, nozzle , extension, collapsible water bucket, foam maker, brush attachment and 6m hose
          And the stream is adjustable.
Bucket and hose are handy when I have no access to water inlet, but yeah like everyone said it is ok for basic washing, I mainly use it to hose the balcony and wash my car (does an ok job)

          • @BaarOzGain: Your model is adjustable. This one isn't

            • @edrift: You are right, Looks like this one is slightly different

          • @BaarOzGain: When you say adjustable - do you mean there's a selector on the nozzle that turns from wide no pressure spray to narrow slightly more pressure spray?

        • Looks like mine is slightly different to this one

    • +2

Bought something similar - they are useless. they are toys … worse than a hose nozzle…i returned mine too…save your money

  • Has anyone actually used one of these? Any reviews? Been considering the Ryobi (https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v-one-hp-600psi-ezclean-…) but don't want to spend that much if I don't have to.

    • +1

Ryobi does 600 psi, and this one does maximum of 24 bar of pressure (~350 psi).

      • lol beat my by 8 seconds

    • +2

The Ryobi you've linked (600psi) has about double the amount of pressure as the WORX unit (350psi)

    • +2

When it comes to tools you almost always get what you pay for

    • +3

The Ryobi is roughly the same. 600psi quoted is only with full mains pressure, so don't expect it from a bucket.

Source: I have the Aldi one, FIL has the Worx one. Tested a mates Ryobi recently.

      • Are the batteries interchangeable between worx and aldi?

    • Simple solution: Buy 2 of the Worx and use together, come out on top both money and pressure wise. /Jokes 🤪

  • Betcha the batteries are rubbish!

    • +4

The batteries aren't great, but you could say that they Worx.

  • Would be good if Ozito PXC batteries can be used with it?

    • Can buy or build an adapter for this, it will definitely work!

I have the Aldi equivalent skin, and built an adapter to go with all my Ozito batteries. Most of these 20v devices are simple positive/negative since the battery contains the BMS circuitry.

      • where would I find these battery adapters? I'm looking specifically to use my Ozito batteries with my Dyson stick vac

        • Dysons are a whole different kettle of fish.

Firstly, they're 6S packs so they have a higher nominal voltage than the 5S packs that are 18v/20v. Second, the connection into the vacuum body (on my V10 anyway) links the trigger to a mechanical actuation within the battery body, so the actual high-current switch is colocated within the battery pack. Finally, the Dyson batteries do actually have additional wires (presumably sensors or data lines) in conjunction with the positive and negative battery tabs.

Having said that, I'm aware of generic batteries available online so you can always get a proper matching one instead of an adapter.

    • Ozito are Also! crap tools and batteries! … no … Worx stuff are not compatible, we had the stuff at a cheap ass company I worked for, the drills all had stripped gears and only worked in low speed.

  • +1

Hosing off my MTB, would this be good enough?

    • +2

Lol a normal hose would suffice

      • +2

Ideally I’d use a bucket of water and hose it off onsite, rather than back at home (especially if camping or away)

    • +1

I have the Aldi version, and used it (until the battery died) for exactly this. Get the mud and stuff off before transport or while camping. Worked pretty well.

Going to get the Ryobi one next though, for the availability of batteries.

      • +1

        Worxed pretty well

        FTFY

    • +1

You should use a soft brush and bucket and running water from an open hose. High pressure and bearings never a good idea

      • Perfect. This item and high pressure are also mutually exclusive.

    • 100% yes as an owner of this

    • +1

Exactly what I'm thinking. Looks great for getting the mud off the MTB or dirtbike when back at camp.

  • I have this, the jet function on my garden hose is better, I think due to higher flow rate, the hydroshot seems to have a lower max flow rate even if I connect the garden hose to it.

But if like me you have areas of your house where the garden hose doesn't reach or you couldn't be bothered then this is excellent to fill in that gap.

I recommend getting accessories such as a short lance, battery adapter (Dewalt on mine), a multi function adjustable nozzle, and a bottle adapter

  • Only includes two nozzles which gives you only a straight jet of water, or a narrow stream of water.

    No foam bottle/nozzle with this.

Overall not great for washing your car with

    • Not sure what you meant by jet or stream, but in the pictures there's clearly shots where it's not what I would call either of those, where the water stream is fanned out. Hard to say if it's 2d or 3d, but looks perfect for washing your car

      • Hardly.

        15 degrees isn't a fan. It's quite narrow.

Don't get this variant confused with the other popular deals that have been on here before. The other models have a variable fan.

I have a similar model from a different brand which was cheaper ($50) and came with variable spray head, foam cannon and more.

        • Was it battery operated?

          • @Jackson: Yeah.

I've had mine for a couple years. It's not full pressure like a karcher but it's great for small areas and places where there is no tap. I use to use it on my apartment balcony where there was no tap. Will do roughly 6-7 bucket fulls on 1 charge (~25 mins). Also good for bathrooms. Just make sure the door is closed and you put a towel infront of the door. Doubles as a water siphon if you don't have a water pump. Works with hose or bucket.

  • This is not a pressure washer,

  • +1

I've got one of these that lives next to the toilet.

    • +2

      Bidet?

      • I think he probably meant for unblocking the toilet. ;)

      • Bidet / toilet brush / waterfloss

  • This is not usual pressure washer, less powerful than most others BUT considering battery operated portable makes it is special. And this price for this brand is never heard bargain.
It is Ok car wash but not to take out stubborn dirt, would be excellent for council rubbish bin cleaning.
And again this is not the most powerful pressure washer but the best portable one.

    • +1

Exactly. This isn't a replacement for a mains unit but great for what it does

  • 320psi?

    • weak

  • Thanks OP. Bought one to hose out the chookhouse (no tap). Was eyeing these for a while, waiting for a deal like this

  • +1

If you want to use this to wash your car you will be fairly disappointed.

  • For toilet bowl/bathroom/air conditioner fins/mountain bike etc, you'll find these on a good day for around $8 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08RDDGRMH/ref=ppx_od_d…

    • +1

I have this adapter, I use it for things like rinsing bird poo off the car to cleaning mesh flyscreens and the like, means I can avoid getting the washer out and connecting to hose etc.

  • +2

Mine arrived today. Surprisingly good. Battery charging slow. Washed out chookhouse from gravity fed tank. Seems sturdy and well made.

  • Well worth it at this price and heaps less hassle setting up the Gerni for smaller jobs. I bought the bottle attachment too and fit perfectly to a random 2L bottle of water I grabbed from Woolies. 2L can do quite a bit too.

The build quality is excellent and it’s much quieter than the Gerni I have.
