Theragun Pro Massager G3 $599 + $10-$20 Shipping @ Form + Design

43

I’ve been hunting one for a while since my cheapy died and missed the Black Friday and Boxing Day sales.

Got this price matched with Rebel on their online chat and then free click and collect.
Original store on sale is Form & Design in Sydney.

And yes I know the argument on a cheap one does the same but I’m ready to cross my fingers on this one 🤣

    $599? is this a joke…

    Theragun? related to Theranos

    • They are?

      • +11

The joke was Theranos was a billion-dollar scam.

Seriously $599 for a massage gun is stupid

  • Giggity

This is a G3, the G4 Pro has been cheaper, down to ~$500. G3 now 2 generations old

    • +1

pay more, feel better, no proof of better

    • It’s actually the G4 if you get it through Rebel. And while it may have been cheaper it hasn’t been for quite a while so I’ll take this over paying any extra.

      • Well if they price-match incorrectly thats pretty lucky. If they're doing that, may as well try get the G5

No noticeable difference from $50 guns from AliExpress, almost certain rebadged

    • +1

If by that you mean it's triangular with some blue on it then sure it's "identical", as long as you ignore the lack of removeable replaceable batteries, the missing display, missing bluetooth, the apparent limit of 1750rpm, the unspecified (and likely low) stall speed, the arm that doesn't adjust……..

      • +1

        It's a massage gun….
It's not going to kill you if you cheap out on it.

      • They have displays. Why need bluetooth? RPM? Have you felt the two units side by side? Identical.

        Batteries… you've got me there

        • Have you felt the two units side by side? Identical.

Have you? Genuinely interested in actual experiences. I have compared two units side by side (not the one linked, but a Renpo one), and they were not at all the same, yet every time a Theragun is posted people claim they are.

          • @Morien: Yeah, my parents bought a Theragun so I've had direct comparisons

            • @thecloudking: Interesting. The Renpo I bought ~$100 just made me want to pee, but the Theragun given to me does a pretty good job.

            • +2

@thecloudking: To the AliExpress one linked?

I've compared my Theragun to some no name one and it was ridiculously weak, and more of a vibration than percussive.

    • @thecloudking Friend bought a high end mic at a moderate discount from Amazon. Was purporting to be a high end brand so had the external cosmetics down pat. Looked to be genuine but on examination it was clearly a knockoff, confirmed by internet fake videos. Amazon refunded and seller didn't say boo to the evidence provided. Moral - looks means sfa, there are plenty of lookalikes which have poor /cheap components, lesser performance and function etc. Google fake car parts - spark plugs, filters etc - same story. They may look (almost) identical but they are vastly inferior products.

  • I wish mods would start banning posts that are clearly not deals this is a joke and literal spam

    • +3

How is it spam? The spam is everybody posting comments when they have nothing to do with it or care to input anything helpful.

  • One of my friends in the industry told me: Theragun has design and Cristiano Ronaldo, that's why its products are expensive.

    • +1

This is a valid point. They are more expensive than they probably should be, and much of that would come down to marketing. But the issue is that every time a Theragun is posted people claim they are the same as a cheap (<$50) generic vibration gun, and that is just downright untrue.

Could there be an identical alternative half the price? Most likely. Is it the rebadge sold on Amazon from VibrateCN? No.

I love my $29 one from October 2022. Still going strong. Battery is great and I have only had to recharge three times so far. No issues with it so far. When comparing it to a $500+ one, I would take this $29 one in an instant.

    • But the question is, have you compared it to the $500+ one?

  • you can get a elite one from binglee for 499 - $20 promo code or a 10% voucher for later

Considering my $50 gun is great, I can't see what exactly can this overpriced gun do to justify the price
