G.Skill Trident Z5 Series (Intel XMP) 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin SDRAM DDR5 6400 CL32-39-39-102 1.40V Dual Channel Desktop Memory F5-6400J3239G16GA2-TZ5S (Metallic Silver)
I think pretty good price for this set, also available in black for extra $13.

done
Thats a solid price - recently bought the Black ver from Device Deal for about $390
Does this only work with Intel CPUs?
No
This is AMD Compatible as well, however does not support EXPO profiles.
Sorry whats EXPO…The first result that came up in google was cats: https://www.facebook.com/catexpoperth/
IS this a fair statement to say? AMD EXPO Technology is like X.M.P, but optimised for Ryzen 7000 series?
Paranoid about QVL.
That's a very good price.
I'm hearing about all of these weird compatibility issues - I'm in the process of acquiring parts for my first build - I plan on using an AM5 CPU/Motherboard. I was going to go for DDR5 6000 ram but this looks like a good deal. Any thoughts?
Keen to know as well, or is it worth waiting for an EXPO compatible set?
It is annoying that all these AM5 boards have varying QVLs. It is not possible to commit to a memory kit until you have finally decided on a board. Waiting until the X3D CPUs get released and hopefully RAM and motherboard prices will drop somewhat by then.
Solid price. I bought the RGB 6000 CL36 variant for $350 but I overclocked it to 6400. For 6400 CL32 out of the box this is a great option.
just bought the 6000 for $311 yesterday, bit sad I didnt wait a day extra
If you mix ddr4 with ddr5 you get ddr9
Pc builders hate this one secret!
Its hard to get ryzen 7000 running ddr5 at 6400. If you're after amd platform, better buy the team group vulcan alpha 5600. Cheaper, running at 6400 no problem.
Wait how does that make sense? You just said Ryzen 7000 is hard to run at 6400 and you mentioned a lower quality kit and say they can run at 6400 no problems?
You cant just buy any kit advertising at 6400 xmp and above and expect it running at advertised speed on amd platform. I personally tested many xmp and expo kits and find out that the kit stated above runs good at 6400 on an amd 7000 and a cheap B650E motherboard when some more expensive kits cannot. Sk hynix makes very good ddr5 chip, the others are just mediocre.
Okay I get what you mean now.

man, not compatible with MSI tomohawk QVL, sucks
If you check G.skill's website it does list both the Z690 and Z790 tomahawks as compatible and if you check MSI's website they list the F5-6400J3239G16GX2-TZ5S as compatible. According to G.skill's website I think F5-6400J3239G16GX2-TZ5S and F5-6400J3239G16GA2-TZ5S are identical.
I received mine and they're A-die
tell em the price son….
