I'm looking for a camera backpack. This looks like a decent price for this popular model.
Here is the review for this backpack:

I think it's around a kg and a half with all the inserts/dividers. Great backpack, just bulky for me so I went back to a messenger style.
Don't compare the original to a cheap copy just with the weight.
1kg is reasonable for a decent quality camera bag, you don't want to put your camera gear in a flimsy bag.
$400? Is that not too much for a camera bad?
The price is not cheap but I believe it is worth it for the quality and features it offers, it also comes with lifetime warranty.
if you have camera gear worth a few thousand dollars, this is not bad. I think it is a fair price for a well-designed camera bag.

This is the most scientific review I've ever read.
Try the Thinktank camera backpack range. Bought one a decade ago, used it a fair bit, and still looks brand new.
It's not heavy
I also bought the Kogan clone a few years ago. I liked it a lot, took it away with me filled up with clothes and tech gear for a weekend but soon wanted the 30L version so I bought the real deal, lightly used from eBay.
It is so much better. I didn't realise how poor the build quality of the clone was until I had the real version.Everything is just…nice. From the origami inserts, to the quality o the velcro, and the straps just feel so good.
The weight is understandable given its features. It's certainly not too heavy for everyday use.
In before fifty "waah, these are too expensive!" posts.
And…..
You're right. Half a grand for a backpack is totally justified.
Spelled the store name incorrectly
Just copied from the other post. 😂
nofrills post ;)
There are much better bags out there for less.
While PD is nice, the surcharge in my experience wasn't worth it.
Link or suggest alternatives, please?
Yeah this ^^ I gave up and bought the Everyday 30L and haven't regretted a single moment. Great lifetime backpack worth the money IMO.
Going to ask you same questions..
Sure, what are you after? How many L? Does it need to store more than cam gear, is weight a factor.. if so, what is limit?
@vash5: I use mine to travel for work, it stores camera, laptop and clothes for 3-4 days, no dramas. The compartmentalisation is also great at keeping work and life separate, and being presentable pulling out a laptop in front of colleagues, while keeping dirty underwear hidden away for example.

Have a look at the Wandrd Prvke backpack
Haven’t bought it yet but it is my list
bellroy seems to have copied parts of the designs and features, but they're also pretty pricey.
Apparently, the average Ozbargainer's income is 250k, so this is the right place for such a deal
More like ¥250,000 not $
This is a great bag. I bought one in an eBay sale over 5 years ago and it has held up really well, still looks almost new even though it’s my main work/commuting bag. I’d highly recommend if you’re on the edge.
Agreed, I've had this bag for three years. Awesome quality, still looks new.
I highly recommended this brand. Used the previous model for like 6 years and had a zippier fail. Thought I would contact them and they sent me a brand new bag. Exceptional customer service and great quality. Definitely worth the money
So their bags are lifetime warranty?
I know quality is good but for 550 + rrp is eehhhhh!
Crazy price! Or does it come with a camera?
If it does come with a camera nudes are not included 😅
Not related to the backpack but, anyway, I'm looking at getting the Sling Bag 6L v2. Can anyone tell me if this will fit two Sony A7 bodies with small primes attached? Based on the dimensions, it should but I'd like to know if anyone has actually done it.
Consider sending Peak Design an email. It's the sort of company that will pull out a couple of A7's and try it for you.
I emailed PD and, to my surprise, they replied in less than 3 hours.
Also to my surprise, they advised the 6L will not fit two bodies. I was quite sure it would based on the advertised dimensions. Oh well…
I remember buying a clone one of these from kogan.
They are quite heavy so I never used it more than a few times. I’m pretty sure the real thing would be the same
