Price is tumbling. Probs because they're not exactly smart…just glasses with bluetooth earbuds built in, really.

    • +1

Almost. They're rubbish glasses with terrible earbuds built in.

  • +7

Bought these from last deal. Audio quality isn't that great, has a bit of bass.

They're basically just glasses with Bluetooth audio that's it. Gave it to my kid.

Touch controls are horrendous, maybe 2 times out of 10 it works.

For 50 or 60 bucks, I'm not phased - but no way in hell would have paid full retail for these or any smart glasses from any other brand.

    • +1

Largely agree, although I found that aiming about 1-2 cm back from the front of the glasses improves the touch controls experience.

Pretty good for kids if you want to avoid them having earbuds/headphones on 24/7.

I personally like them when strolling through a quiet area or in my home office - definitely not ideal in the city at all.

Yea nah. Bought these in the last deal and quality is shit. speakers are horrible,

  • +1

But will it increase my KD ratio?

  • I bought these on the last sale too in relation to the size, the Small seem more like a regular sunglasses size whereas the Large are a Large size.

When I purchased the small last time I thought they were going to be more kid sizes and the large would be adult sizes

    • I bought this from the last sale too… although I bought a small, it is actually small/medium size. I have a small face and the small/medium is still a little big on me. So it looks weird with the blue light filter lens (like Harry Potter), but with the polarized lens it looks okay for sunnies with its large size.

  • Can the glasses adjust to your vision?

    • you want glasses to improve your vision??

      • +1

no…adjust to. I'm new to smart glasses. If they can't adjust automatically, it means some people who don't have perfect eye sight simply can't use them. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/innovation/these-smart-glasse…

These don't have any sort of 'Smart' capabilities you'd find in what's being discussed in the link.

These are just glorified sunnies with speakers, you can get prescription lenses in them but as far as I can tell it's only done by one partnered company in the US and if it's an option for us then it'll cost more than the frames alone.

I'd only buy this if you want the novelty of sunnies with poorly reviewed speakers.

    • That'd be the whole spectacles/optician industry gone overnight if that was the case…

  • +3

No camera, no heads-up display. As dumb as a Microsoft Zune.

  • +2

the marketing page on this is insane just for a sunnies with tiny speakers in them

  • +2

My Smart Wallet refuses to allow me to waste money buying these

  • +1

This will pair nicely with my Atari speakerhat.

  • Price has increased.
