    I like eating sand

Don't leave us hanging. Please tell us more

It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere

      • Drops a couple hundred terabytes of HDD platters onto a stone cold floor

You can come up with any theory you like… i.e. he is hurting his kidneys.

It's mostly a joke, and a small sentence to overcome the minimum number of characters requirement for a deal description.

Mostly a joke… so there's some truth to it?

  • Ps5…?

Negative. Crucial for some reason blocked PCIe gen 4 support on this (the controller inside is capable). If we want to be cynical about it, it could be Crucial could change the controller later on.

Crucial sells another version, called P3 Plus, which seems to be roughly the same but has PCIe gen 4 support unblocked.

      • Thanks for reply. I'll sit and be patient. Wanna see 4TB sub $400, pref more like $250.
        Maybe late this year

        • Do you own a digital edition? Even then, 4TB for a ps5 is overkill.

        • I haven't seen any gen 4 ssd with <100$/tb, and you talk about 4tb at $250? Probably when pcie gen 6 ssd is out lol

    • Gen 3, and read/write speeds are too slow. I'd say probably not.

Nice to see more large storage options dip below the $100 per TB mark.

    • Very nice! If this drops to $350, I’ll buy one.

    800TBW seems a bit low for a 4TB drive.

Then again that's like ~438GB a day for 5 years.

    • yeh 1200TBW for my 2TB 980 Pro…
Which died after 21.2 TBW. Really hoping ill be able to RMA it, but it was fullfilled by amazon US so Im probably SOL

        Amazon wipes their hands clean?

Anyway, TBW is overrated. All my SSDs which died did not reach 10% of TBW, with majority of them not even reaching 5%.

        • I never contacted amazon as its almost 2 years old (5yr warranty). Will see how i go with samsung first

        • All my SSDs which died did not reach 10% of TBW

          which brand(s)? I have a Samsung 850 250GB M.2 still going (currently at 92%)

  • Will it fit hp envy x360 - 15-cn0019tx

  • QLC no DRAM on PCI is like fitting a racing steering wheel to your tractor
