$400 doesn’t get top end? - danggggg
I am totally out of the loop for gaming peripherals it seems
Damn, this one I saw got good reviews but this one is wired :(
He said "top end gaming", not professional or audiophool. Seems like plenty of money for a toy :-)
Not a gamer so can someone explain what gaming headsets have that regular ones don't? Would a Sony WH-1000XM not be good enough?
I think latency and directional sound would be subpar for gaming.
Rgb lights for a start which science shows improves gaming abilities **
Interfacing with a dedicated sound card for 5.1 / 7.1 positional sound and latency
Dedicated boom mic for clearer comms
Typically more padding on band and larger ear cups since don’t need to care about ability to stow in a bag
Jesus, sorry everyone is a bonehead here.
1) Independent volume controls for voice and sounds.
2) Microphone
3) Low latency (i.e. NOT standard Bluetooth)
4) Some connect to USB
Sony INZONE H9, just under $400.
Is highly recommend a SteelSeries headset for their dual audio channel ability and good battery life. Plus they’re comfy for extended use.
I have the Arctis 7 which you can probably pick up on sale otherwise their new Nova Wireless model will be found under $400.
Personally if you can save half the price going the Arctis 7 I’d do that.
^^^ I second everything here. Also own an Arctis 7, and it works well. Very happy with it, and I'd buy it again. You will be able to find it under $400 for sure.
You could get an Astro Mixamp for ~$200 (need to choose the PS or Xbox variant - choose either if you are solely using it for PC) then pair it with the HyperX Cloud Alpha for $160 from JB
Edit: Never mind, missed wireless in the title.
What did you end getting? Thinking of getting either Nova 7x vs Turtle Beach 700 Gen2 Max but can't decide
You're not getting "top end" for $400. Maybe an Arctis Nova Pro is an option.
