I know it’s not the best price but I ran out. Yesterday it was $24! It is also the last day of my prime membership trial and I want to use up my credit. I actually only pay $13.43 for this. I complaint about a price error on the dollar shave club travel razor from US which was canceled and got $5 promo credit… So if you ran out of stock it’s the best price for Pepsi Max you can find at the moment! For me it is the cheapest and most convenient way to get this. My next supermarket is about 45km from my home. Yes it might be a price match, but cheaper on Amazon with S&S and no big deal with canceling afterwards. Hopefully I have all worries covered here…

How do you do your math?

      $20.48 / 16L = $1.28/L

      • -1

Maths are not his strongest point… however I only calculate on $18.43.

      • +12

The sad part is, Amazon even tells you the cost per litre

    • +1

Except $20.48 divided by 8 x 2L bottles (ie 16L) is only $1.28 per litre.

    • +2

I'm guessing maffs isn't your strong point.

      $18.43 = $1.15/L

    • +3

We get it. You’re shit at math.

    • +2

Lol well i (profanity) that up horribly

It was only $1/L a month or so ago. Not a deal for such a large bulk purchase.

Cool, lemme just grab my time machine

Unless, you know, you have some place I can get it cheaper today without tearing a hole in the space time continuum

        • -1

Can you find us a cheaper price?

          • +1

@Thrifty Dan: Coles has it for the same $1.28/L, Everyday low price. Don't see this as a bargain as you could end up getting a heap of shortdated stock and it's not cheaper then an existing price.

  • My local IGA used to have it cheaper than this. But they recently put their prices up :(

    • +1

I don't think IGA have ever had it for $1.15/L

      • Mine had it for less than that for years, iirc it was $1.90 for 2L. They also had Devondale UHT milk for $1.20 for a long time after all the other supermarkets put them up to like $1.70. But they finally got around to updating the prices. I assuming independently owned IGAs only need to follow IGA prices is when the particular item is in the catalogue. Either they were kept that low out of laziness or the owner felt like giving locals a break. I think the old man is just losing it, he doesn't even bag my stuff for me anymore. Just hands me the bag. He's given up.

  • +1

Thanks mate it’s a yes for me

  • +4

All supermarkets appear to have gone to about 2.80 as standard price for this, so it's not a bad price. Don't often get a deeper discount on 2L, more often on 1.25L to bring it to comparible price.

              • @jv: Do you actually care?

      Who cares if it’s cheap

@jv So you quote 8x 2L Pepsi max. Are 12X 1.25L Pepsi Max not affected by this or do you post this on every Pepsi Max deal? I am just curious. I haven’t seen you posting this on other deals…

                • @jv: They also have less saturated fat, which has been shown in studies to raise your "bad" cholesterol and put you at a higher risk for heart disease. But reduced-fat milk and skim milk often contain more added sugar than whole milk, which is also a no-no.
