10,000lumen from 3x AAA alkaline batteries? Lol

    • 10,000 lumen at a 1mm wide beam maybe?

      • hotspot is when you hold a lighter in front of the beam

    • It comes with a Li battery - the big red thing in the box.

  • Um…USB rechargeable and it comes with alkaline batteries?

  • But can focus on objects 3280 FT away easily and object 264636 fingers away a little bit harder.

XHP70.2 doesn't hit 10k lumens or 3000ft with that reflector.

    Shadowhawk has shadowy history https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/454405/psa_shad…

  • Nah, gonna stick with my Wuben C3

  • +3

    Yeah, that's not entirely honest.

  • -1

Stick with the Wuben C3 or Sofirn for $30. Much smaller and is extremely bright on the highest setting. USB-C rechargeable and comes with the LiIon battery.

    • -1

Did you guys actually read the listing. it comes with a Li battery. its the big red thing in the box and shown on the product details.

      • Lol why the downvotes. Are people blind, or just incapable of reading? Its clear as day in both the description and pictures.

        • One of the worst listings I've seen. Why omit the battery from package contents?

  • +3

Highly unlikely to be 10K lumens, runs on AAA batteries, lack of more technical reviews. It looks like a model that is rebranded. Other versions claim 90K lumens.

This torch is an ideal gift for mate, family, friends, colleagues etc.

I'd be hugely disappointed to receive this.

    • On the other hand, my wife gifted me a Lumintop LM10 in copper and was hugely disappointed to have to buy it.

Not relating to that particular torch but some great info on AMAZON LED torches there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6q_0wxzClkg

    • I came across videos from that channel recently - well worth a watch if you're considering buying some of the generic flashlights, especially the high-lumen ones, off Amazon.

Question:Hi, Does it include a rechargeable 26650 or 18650 battery or no rechargeable battery ?
    Answer:Hi
    It comes with 26650

Everyone squawking "it only comes with AAA batteries!" hasn't actually read the product listing or looked at the photo.

      • My question is more why does it come with AAA batteries?

        • +1

It's just a plastic holder so you can power with AAA in an emergency (eg if the Li battery is flat I guess). The holder is the black thing next to the AAA batteries.

I can't imagine it's the intended use 99.9% of the time.

To be fair, it's not listed in the About this item section:

【EXCEPTIONAL VALUE & BUY WITH CONFIDENCE】: Package contents: 1x Shadowhawk usb rechargeable torch, 3x AAA Alkaline battery, 1x USB charging cable, 1x keychain light, 1x Holster of the rechargeable flashlight, 1x Gift box and User manual.

  • I reckon I've got something similar from AliExpress. Looks the same and had similar claims of being as bright as the sun.

Light from mine is very blue, but to be fair it is extremely bright. I'd say a lot brighter than my sofirn sc31pro. However there is a major issue with mine in that it drains it's battery even when switched off. Not sure if this could have the same problem too. To overcome this issue I have to loosen the torch body to break the battery connection.

FYI. Bought this recently for my son. It’s very bright, I don’t have anything to test output but unlikely to be 10,000 lumens compared to my other torches from Nitecore, Thrunite etc.

It comes with a 26650 which can be charged in the torch via USB C.

Also comes with an adaptor to allow you to power via 3 x AAA batteries. Obviously output would be significantly lower than using the 26650 battery.

If you have issues with parasitic drain just unscrew the bottom until the torch won’t turn on.

    • I have this torch too. I like because you can adjust beam focus.

Frustrating when people make comments without reading the listing in it's entirety first…

    • +1

Frustrating when you need to read a listing in its entirety due to multiple lists of package contents with omissions rather than having a clear listing.

      • Yeah like that massive Product Information table is so obscure /s

        • Contradictory information is a huge red flag.

          • @ihfree: Mate you are totally overthinking a torch.

            • @lunchbox99: The comment is about a bad product listing.

If we must talk about the torch:

              • Shady brand (see reddit link)
              • Specs are not accurate. 10K is a one of the lesser lies as you can buy a similar looking torch with 90K lumens
              • Rebranded product that can probably be bought cheaply
              • In my opinion, it's basically a scam
