Cyclone Hydrogrip Garden Gloves $5.94 (Was $13.82) + Delivery ($0 C&C/in-Store/ OnePass with $80 Online Order) @ Bunnings

1400

Credits to price hipster for the ping.

Price applies to all sizes.

Pretty big price drop, have two sets of these but i kind of remember paying closer to $10 for them…

Quite good for when you don’t want to get your hands wet and give a bit of protection against abrasions/puncture. I find them better for fine work in the garden such as re-tying wire ties on climbing plants as opposed to the thicker gloves which have bigger impact on dexterity.

    Very nice gloves, extremely grippy.

When ordering for c&c how do you choose what size you want?

I bought a pair 3 months back and the fingertips are disintegrating from fairly gentle use, so doesn't help much with liquid fertilizers etc. anymore.

    • Do you rinse them after use? I usually wash mine down with clean water after… seems to help.

I don’t use anything too crazy though just season and round up.

Also use it for when I need to put my hands into the pool water (pool water flares up my eczema)

  • Thanks OP, got one

Are they good for rowing a boat? Got some stuff to transport and would rather use gloves. Also will it be ok to use with bleach?

      Dexter?

    • I wouldn’t use bleach on them.

I used to paddle boats as a recreation sport, but had to stop once I took an arrow to the knee…. I could see these being pretty good for that but I personall would prefer fingerless gloves if I really needed to look at gloves for paddling/rowing.

Great price, but unfortunately I can't wear this kind of glove. I've tried several types but for some reason the latex coating causes my hands to sweat excessively and they end up getting quite smelly. I like the grip and flexibility, I just don't like the aftereffects.

You could try the Ansell hyflex gloves. The tops are breathable as they're mesh like and the palm and fingers are grippy.
Depends what you need them for. They're easy to dry, but the topside does let fine dirt in.

      • I’ve tried them, too. I don’t know what it is but for some reason my hands really heat up quickly and get super-sweaty. All I can think of is they’re mostly encased in the non-breathable latex and that traps any humidity, which triggers more sweating, etc. It’s no problem, though, I just wear other gloves instead.

  • Got these for the OH. they're good value.

  • Best gloves for gutter cleaning?

    • If your gutters are like mine (narrow and sharp as hell for some reason) you’re better off blowing it out with an electric blower and cleaning up from ground imo

  • Are they good for mowing?

    • I guess you could… why do you need gloves for mowing? Unless you mean maybe handling the catcher when unloading maybe

Thanks OP. I've been using these for years now. Only type I can find for somewhat sensitive work which is waterproof as well.
