Dimplex 40cm Fan - Assembling Issue

Okay, bought one from this deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/747766), and now trying to assemble the fan. I cannot fit the blackguard as couldn't align the four holes. One of the attaching arms is slightly longer than the rest of the three.

The Manual says nothing about it. Am I missing something here? :( Is it a manufacturing fault?

I'm going with bent. from the photo it appears that the 'top' arm and the 'circle' rings that it are attached to are pushed down in the photo (i.e. pushed towards the centre)

      Yes, they are slightly pushed down. Even if I align the 3 perfectly, there is no way I can align the top one with its intended hole :(
