I regret not buying these years ago from A2A when they were under $300

    • I did and the cable has already failed (quite common with that batch) so by the time you factor in the cost of the replacement cable from A2A the cost won't be that much difference. As long as Sennheiser has addressed their manufacturing issues with them that is…

      • Replacement cables from ebay and Amazon are so cheap though. I have bought 3.5mm and balanced 4.4mm cables from Amazon for my HD58x and the price was very reasonable from memory and I liked the replacement cables more than the included cable.

        • You might have found some good sellers. A lot of the ones I found had pretty mixed reviews, although it probably doesn't take much to be an improvement on the stock 6XX cable! I did see a few recommendations on making your own at a much higher quality for a similar price which could be an option.

Sennheiser should really lift their game though. Addicted To Audio should be holding them accountable as well, but if it's not in warranty they won't lift a finger…

      • Mine failed last month, I didn't know this was a thing. Bought a replacement cable off Amazon and a pair of Beyer TYGR-300R's for competitive FPS gaming.

  • Pretty sure these were $179 USD a couple of days ago

Instead of just new user sign up, may as well use the random referral code generator here to help fellow ozbargainers, same discount but you helped someone random out ;)

  • Have owned these for a few years, amazing headphones, would recommend an amp ($200 ish ) and you get a really good bang for buck setup

  • These or HD560s for gaming?

    • Was also tossing up between the two but couldn't wait for the 560s price to drop any longer D:

560s apparently has the better soundstage, so would likely be your pick for gaming competitively.
