Phone tripod recommendations

  does not squeeze/damage the sides of the phone when it's held in position?

  How else would you mount the phone to the tripod? If you have the phone clamped in place with just enough force, you won't damage your phone

  Unless I'm being ignorant, is there any other way to mount a phone to a tripod?

  I got a Joby Grip Tight for my phone, which connects to a normal tripod, which is quite good

  I've used a Mefoto Sidekick with my Mefoto tripod for a few years, never had an issue with it and has never damaged phones.

    i bought a Joby Griptight for my camera tripod, and have been using it fine for a while.
