Saw this pop into a news feed. Apparently a great creators laptop and acceptable gaming laptop from comments on this deal. Now about $150 cheaper but it is a US import so would rely on Gigabyte international warranty policy. Cheapest I've seen for a decent spec rtx 3070 laptop with a great quality screen (though maybe 60hz). AUD price includes import tax/GST and shipping

is the link bad for other people or just me?
Yep, not working.
Edit: linked only worked for me with https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/304607937740 without the stuff at the end @TheLurker can you change the link?
Nice!
Thanks. My error while rushing. Fixed now
Bought 30mins ago on ebay for $2025 aud through Google Pay. Tried to share ebay link but unable? :(
Probably all the affiliate crap added to the URL
Add the link but cut off anything after the item number which ends just before a β?β in the urlI wish ozbargain would just automatically remove/clean affiliate crap from links. It can be so hard to get a clean link even you have no intention of gain using affiliate links
Bought this from previous deal. Upon arrival laptop powers on with keyboard lights and fans running but shows a black screen. Seller says to contact Gigabyte. Should I raise this issue through eBay?
You have 30 days from delivery to open a case I think so yeah that's probably what I would do and return it for a refund.
It's a DOA claim, full refund or exchange for a new one. Don't accept if they offer to repair it.
Send it back to them turfing customers off to Gigabyte isn't a good thing
Certainly would not accept a repair, was hoping if there was trivial fix. Last time I bought a laptop that was DOA and raised can issue the seller asked me to close it before they would send a replacement. I refuse so in the end they just gave a refund instead of replacement
I'm waiting for a Lenovo Legion 7 Gen 7 deal, is the overall quality of Legion 7 better than Gigabyte's?
Much better. Just need to wait for a legion sale which lenovo is refusing to do nowadays for some goddamn reason.
Thanks mate, never say never ππ
Lenovo's build quality & resale value are much better than gigabytes. Just wait for next lenovos sale.
Will do just thatπ
Was seriously considering buying this, but build gigabytes build quality is shoddy, ill just settle with my macbook pro 14 m1pro, was going to use it for light gaming but waiting for amd's next gen amd advantage laptops will be worth it.
I have a couple of colleagues with this laptop (Gigabyte Aero) and they say it is utter rubbish.
Not good to hear that. I haven't bought a Gigabyte laptop before, but have had a fair few issues with GB motherboards and their online support was frustrating.
In theory the spec and cnc build is excellent, but consensus is that the end result is less than the sum of its parts.
Maybe this deal might push another brand to meet a similar price point.
Yep for sure good specs but Gigabyte as a manufacturer are just not what they used to be. Would definitely steer clear unless you want to be constantly fighting with driver and software issues with almost no support from Gigabyte themselves
$1099 usd is $2019, serious? Obviously need to raise the cash rate about another 2%
