  • Can it detect omicron?

    • +6

      it can detect domicron

    • +7

      It detects morons.

      • +22

Don't need a RAT test to find them. Just need to see the weekly covid conspiracy forum posts.

        • +3

          5G causes COVID !!

@SpeedRunnerLink: Not if your with Kogan, the reception doesn’t reach anywhere

            • @lakers1222: 😂. WTF? Why am I laughing my nutz off? Must be the Covid side effect? Hang on a sec, I haven't even caught it….yet. It is funny though. Is Kogan really that bad? Like Vodafone used to be once upon a time?

              • @pacificstorm: Vodafone is still bad till now tbh…

                • @Lomax:

Vodafone is still bad till now tbh…

Nah mate. Me and Voda been through thick and thin for yonks (with lots of freebies along the way BTW) and I can say with surety that Voda has improved by a wide margin now except of course, if you're in Tassie where its Telstra county.

                  • @pacificstorm: You are right… travelled from Melbourne to Mildura, and don't have much problem with the reception. Travelled from Hobart to Southern Tasmania, not even have reception in the highway :(

                    • @Lomax: Yep. Lesson learned. Last time we were there which was 2 years before the Covid outbreak, took a prepaid Telstra sim with us to stay connected. Missing the fantabulous Salamanca Market kinda bad. Love that place.

          • @SpeedRunnerLink: After getting the vaccine some people reported seeing 5G antenna growing from the needle puncture hole

Shit yeh. Just ask that cooker DR PHELPS. You know , the ex head of the AMA.

  • +1

Fortunately I have a stockpile of free ones.
I would hate to have to pay for a test.

  • +1

people said it is "very high sensitivity"

    • +1

The TGA has said that it is very high sensitivity.

      • +5

        thats what she said too

    • Almost as sensitive as our society is these days!

  • +5

Watch out for the expiry date: it seems a lot of older stock is being cleared out. I needed to grab one recently, and it had an expiry date in March next year. The reviews suggest this is also other people's experience.

    • +1

Better start licking door handles now?

    • +1

Bought 2 packs of 5, the expire date March next year :-(

      • +1

You dont get colds? sore throats?

    • Same. Got two a few weeks back

  • +2

Thanks, good to stock up for the festive season before visiting people.

Imagine if testing stopped covid. Lol

Tis the grift that keeps on giving.

WIfe and I tested positive last week and used up all our free boxes from the chemist we had stoked up on when they were available
My father picked up a free box of 10 from service NSW for us on Thursday.
I finished 5 days of antivirals yesterday and wife finished 2 days ago
I tested negative this morning and wife's had a very faint line, my symptoms were less than hers and resolved quicker
Hope we don't get it again as I'm starting radio, chemo and immunotherapy after NYD again

    • +4

wishing you all the best with your treatment and thanks for sharing your experience.

    • +6

Ive been on chemo last 2 years. Have managed to avoid covid so far. Good luck with your treatment. Enjoy the break from it and get your strength up.

      • +2

I wish you all best. I hope you are beat this thing.

      • I started 2 years of chemo in 2017 and scans were looking good until the last one earlier this month when they found it had returned and due to depth and location surgery isn't recommended as neurological damage would probably occur

    • +1

All the best. I hope everything goes well and turns out for you.

    • +4

I wish people took more care. But now it appears people have abandoned basic manners and consideration for others such as in covering mouth when coughing, sneezing and staying home when you know you are sick (with covid, flu, cold, gastro etc). Hope all goes well for you.

      • +3

So true, back to selfish pre covid people

        • +4

it wasn't like they stopped being selfish during covid, they just couldn't do it without being fined

      • +4

It's ridiculous, someone ventured into my work place a few weeks ago COVID positive but…. "it's ok I'm masked up" - If I was in that position I wouldn't be going out.

  • Ordered 1 box. Thanks Froot Loops.

  • +1

I recently purchased a pack. Expiry in March 23.
So, only purchase if you need to test, as no good to stockpile.
Paid a bit over this price.

    • +1

Can confirm same expiry date on my purchase that arrived two days ago.

  • Not a bad deal but as a comparison the recently expired Kogan deal had a pack of 5 for $5 so great for Kogan First members, expiring Jan 2024.

  • -1

    People pay for these?

    Wow, I've just learnt something.

    • +3

We all pay for government issued “free” tests.

    • Guess some states are less generous than others.

  • 50/50 whether these work.

  • Also got a March 2023 pack.

Not concerning for me as we are likely to go through them quickly as we have COVID right now :(

  • +1

Mine never even turned up. Had to request a refund off Amazon.
