Averages to $884.15 per year including establishment fee.

Pay nothing until 2023 - just the next week or so.

    What is the original price?

    • About what I paid when I was member about a decade ago. Apparently gyms are inflation immune.

Would never give a gym direct debit access but. Up front or nothing.

Or just go for a run for free. FitOn is also decent for free.

Not too bad - though i got this deal as month to month so push a little harder and you might get lucky

  • Hey Dice - original price for the Plat 18mnth is $20.99 /wk

Do your due diligence prior to signing up with Goodlife, especially considering this is an 18-month contract. A lot of people, including myself, have been caught out with hidden fees in the contract and their billing department can be a nightmare to deal with.

Second this motion, very deceptive business practises and hidden policies.

    • +1

I’d never go direct debit with a gym. Why would you give them access to your back account?

  • +3

And why are we paying an extra $79 for someone to enter our details into a computer? Is this to cover your commission for signing people up?

No way i'd be paying that for the 'privilege' of locking myself into a contract for 18 months.

    • never pay the admin fee, its really just commission im sure

    • What a joke!

  • This is their current sale at the moment for all Goodlife Clubs.

"Please refer to your terms and conditions"

Can't easily find a link to the terms and conditions on that sign up page though…. and I'm not going looking, it should be easy to access.

    Typical dodgy gym behaviour

  • +2

If you pay admin fee for a gym you're a fool.

walk in, talk to the person, tell them you're not paying the admin fee, if they insist, go to another gym.

  • +1

Was here for so long and they have so many hidden fees, do not join. They make it so hard to cancel membership as well.

  • +1

Never pay establishment fees or sign long term contracts to any gym. If you suffer an injury which stops you from going they'll still require payments every month… avoid like the plague.

I wasn’t going to say anything but since there is so much hate here thought I share my own experiences.

Personally, I think this is a good deal especially if your goodlife has extra amenities. I recently left goodlife two months ago to join a new gym which was within 2mins walking distance. Cancellation was straightforward.

Or pay just $5/week at the brand-new Planet Fitness at Southport with NO establishment fee and NO contracts:

    https://www.planetfitness.com.au/gyms/southport-qld

    • Has les mills classes? Pool?

      • Does GL Helensvale have a pool? It doesn't look like it's on their amenities list. Either way, this is the Gold Coast - OzBargainers are at the beach or broad water for free ;)

What's special about Les Mills vs the fitness classes offered at Planet Fitness and other gyms? Is this specific brand of fitness class worth being locked into an 18-month contract at over 3 times the price (more when not discounted)?

  • Couple years back I paid $749 upfront for 15 months, no joining fee and have been resigning for the same deal a few weeks before expiry.

I would be interested to know if this deal stacks with the AIA 50% off Goodlife offer

  • As these have bought out Fitness First clubs, this might be a great deal.

  • I have been burnt by GoodLife in the past. Quite dishonest practices.
