Pretty disappointed with City Beach.
Their listed prices for watches are on the higher side to begin with, but a week or two ago they had this green text next to the watch I wanted that said GET 50% OFF! which would have lowered the price of what I wanted to reasonable a price so I signed up.
Turns out in the email it shows as "Mystery discount" and what I got was 20% off. Basically the exact same amount given to anyone who signs up, as you can see in the website screenshot at the bottom of this deal.
Then later on I found a ozbargain post about the exact same promo in the past. A few users basically gamed the system and signed up multiple times to see if 50% off was even possible and turns out it isn't. The maximum discount they could get was 30%.
So my point is to warn people who want to get City Beach giftcards and thinking you will get a sweet discounted deal by stacking GC with promos. Most likely not. Well in my case for a G-shock watch they listed it at a crazy high amount and even after 20% code discount it was still much higher than what other places were selling it for.
TLDR: It's not worth the run around with City Beach code + giftcards when you can get the item elsewhere for the same amount without using codes or GCs.
