Will these be valid till end of May?

    • Hi TasJacks

The deals themselves will be valid until 11:59pm (AEDT) Monday 26th December!

Once you book an activity using your promo code, you'll receive an activity booking voucher in your email. The validity of these vouchers will depend on the individual activities, and will have different validity dates. Highly recommend you check our website directly for info on how long the vouchers are valid for.

More money to spend on food and figurines!

      • +2

        And maid cafes!!! 🤣😂

  • Have to SPIN-THE-WHEEL for freebies?

    • -2

      Hi there FatTofu,

Yep, that's right! The wheel will be available on the Klook page on the 26th of December. All you need to do is spin to win, but we quick as it's only available for the first 500 customers.

      Cheers,
      Klook Team

I hope your website/spin the wheel page doesn't get ozbargained.

Traveling to japan in April, will JR Passes work?

    • +3

You get sent a ticket in the mail, which you exchange at a JR office in Japan for your rail pass! You have 90 days from the purchase date (not delivery date) to exchange the pass in Japan. When in Japan, you can choose to have the pass be valid at some point within the next 30 days. It does say this in the details on the site :D

      • -8

        So April qualifies?

        • +2

90 days. So no, April would be beyond 90 days.

        • "You have 90 days from the purchase date"

      • Any idea if the Universal Studios and Disney pass are similar? You have 90 days to redeem?

        • -1

          Hi TheBardsTale,

The voucher validity dates for Universal Studios Japan (Studio Passes) will depend on which Pass you're booking - i.e. Studio Passes A, B, or C. You'll need to visit only on the dates displayed on/corresponding with your Pass type. We have this reflected in our product page, but you can also check the USJ official website to confirm dates: https://www.usj.co.jp/web/en/us/park-guide/schedule/park-hou…

For Tokyo Disney, these are fixed dated and valid only on the designated Park admission date and for the Park indicated on the ticket. Please also note that tickets can only be booked up to 2 months in advance.

          Team Klook

    • Want to know as well

    • +1

      Hi Gembel,

Good question! Once you purchase a JR pass from Klook and receive it in the mail (takes up to 14 days), you have 90 days from date of purchase to take it to Japan and exchange your pass for the ticket. Once exchanged in Japan, you then have 30 days to activate your JR Pass and start travelling on the trains.

If you're buying on the 26th of December 2022 but travelling in April 2023 this will beyond the 90 day exchange period and therefore the pass will be expired.

      I hope that helps!

      Thanks,
      Klook Team

      • Hey Klook,

Ima going to Japan on the 3rd of Jan. Is it too late to buy a JR rail pass? Can I get one in Japan when I land?

        • Hi ChickenDinner123,

Thanks for your question. The JR Pass must be booked at least 14 days before you intend to travel to Japan. Once purchased, you will then receive an Exchange Order in the mail. You have 90 days - from the purchase date on Klook - to swap the Exchange Order for the actual, physical JR Pass in Japan. Once exchanged in Japan, you then have 30 days to activate your JR Pass and start travelling on the trains. The Pass needs to be delivered to your address before you leave.

          Hope that helps!

          Team Klook

  • Can you clarify if JR Pass (All japan) is in the 10% or 15% sale? It says not applicable in your link in the able, but it shows up in the main promo page

    • Hi Portard,

Our JR passes are applicable for the 5% code (min spend $50 AUD). To see which JR passes are applicable for the 10% code, please see the T&Cs here https://www.klook.com/en-AU/no_applicable_activities_list_ne….

      Thanks!

Your last JR Pass deal had a limited drop of 20% off - while I understand you may not be able to match that, would you consider including it in the 10%/15% sale for a limited time?

        • There's a 5% welcome offer for first time app users. This is almost a non-deal for me.

          • @Caped Baldy: Hi Caped Baldy,

The 5% welcome offer is only for first time bookers, and only across the app, whereas our deals for Boxing Day are able to be used for both existing and new customers!

            Team Klook

        • The last one that almost no one was eligible for because they would issue the tickets immediately with only a couple of months validity.

They promised all the of the OzB members another similar promotion before the end of the year. Guess they think 5% is similar to 20%

          • @Nand0sx: I got the 20% off JRail Pass. Currently in Japan and have used the crap out of it. Got my money’s worth for sure 😊

  • +3

Prices have definitely gone up though. In November I purchased 2x of the SIM cards mentioned (Sakura Mobile) for 21 days, and the total was $95. Now it is $85 for just one, so it isn't really a deal for these so be aware.

    • That's probably due to exchange rates

Edit: nvm misread, exchange rates might've contributed but not to that extent lol

      • +1

In November it was 1 AUD = ~94 JPY and now it is 1 AUD = ~91 JPY, that difference is not exchange rates lol.

        • The difference in exchange rates does not represent the differences in prices.

      • A 178% ($37.50) increase for a $47.50 item? :(

    • The other sim card deals on ozbragin are way better value

      • Probably now yeah. This one was "unlimited" (10GB in the past 3 days is max, anything over means slower data after 6pm which was fine with me, never got to this point though) and was exactly in my needs. For longer stays it's harder to get a decent amount of data for an okay price unless you go for a local SIM which is less convenient to acquire.

      • Yeap, TravelKon was crazy good value.
Actually better than my last trip in 2019 which is insane to me.

        • +1

Woah I might look at them next time, they're really cheap! Especially compared to everyone else taking advantage of the borders opening again loool

          • @noren7: There's a Taiwanese company that sells the same sim at the same price. Annoying part is having to get it delivered to your hotel

  • Damn no Boxing Day sales for Europe?

  • 26th December 2023 is a typo?

    • Hi Porkr0ll,

Good pick up! Edited to 2022 :-)

      Thanks,
      Klook Team

  • Now we need Shopback or Cashreward to have some cashbacks on the same day!

  • +1

JR Pass was 20% off last time vs 5% off this time, might as well wait for a cashback boost :(

  • +3

Wonder how many passes will be won by people not even going to japan lol

    • +1

      Hi richmond12,

Thanks for your comment. If you win a ticket, you still need to book it! If you don't book it, the tickets will be reserved for other winners until the end of the day or when the quantity runs out - whichever happens first.

      Hi Hellboy!

Thanks for your feedback. We remember that competition - it was right after the lockdowns in Melbourne and a lot of operators were getting back into the swing of things. We also had people enter the competition multiple times with different accounts but the same IP, so some accounts were flagged by our security team for going against the T&Cs.

      Team Klook

      • +7

Ever heard of CGNAT? Better look that up before you ban based on IP addresses.

      • +1

Will my wife and I be flagged given that we will be on the same IP?

        • -6

          Hi meeeeeeee,

We had people enter the competition multiple times with different accounts but similar signals (name, phone, IP etc), so some accounts were flagged by our security team for going against the T&Cs where they couldn't verify their identity to our customer service team. However our team will double check first before ever cancelling any prizes.

          Team Klook

          • @BookWithKlook: Hi Klook team

I've restored the deal title back to it's original, changing the deal completely will cause all the votes to become misrepresented.

The next time you are unclear about posting guidelines, please use the Talk with a Moderator forum for advice on what to do, and not "simply follow the crowd" and make changes based on user's complaints, suggestions or neg votes.

For competitions involving the giving away of prizes on a "first come first serve basis" as opposed to a game of chance or skill,, you can post them as deals but you need to emphasize those conditions next time.

Again, ask moderators if you are unsure of whether you should post such deals in the deal section or the comps section.

            Thanks and regards

    • Thats unlucky - I won the Sofitel one (about $300 value from memory) - the hotel honoured it with no issues.

  • Is there an expiration or date range you for Unlimited Data 4G SIM Card? e.g. can it be purchased and used in 8 months time?

    • Hi jontyro

The voucher is valid on the date you select when you book (i.e. the date you want to pick-up the SIM card). Please note the calendar only runs until 17 June 2023 in case you're planning any travels beyond this date! https://www.klook.com/en-AU/activity/28305-4g-sim-japan/

      Team Klook

  • Is this an international competition?

    • Hi mmd,

The competition is only for Australian and New Zealand residents. Thanks!

  • Have Singapore trip coming up in last week of January. Is there passes/tickets for tourism in SG?

  • Can the 5 and 10% off codes be stacked with cashback?

    • +2

      Hi Nick9113,

Yes these can - we've updated the post to reflect this.

      Team Klook

  • Hot tip you can buy travel sim cards from Amazon Japan and send them to your hotel, airbnb, 7/11 etc. really ncie and convenient.

  • So, we can't choose what we are apply for? If I plan to go Kansai and won Tokyo Disney pass then just wasting?

    • and if your trip is 2 or 3 months after Boxing day, there is also not much point in winning the passes

      • Thanks JoshJ and B0b0 for sharing your thoughts.

If you win a ticket, you still need to book it! If you don't book it, the tickets will be reserved for other winners until the end of the day or when the quantity runs out - whichever happens first.

We recommend to check the availability dates on the tickets you would like to win, as some may not extend to meet your travel dates.

        Team Klook

With the "unlimited data" Sim, how many GB do you have to use in a day before the speed gets throttled?

    What is the throttled speed?

  • Are these prizes transferrable to another person? I wont be in Japan until next year but i have friends in Japan who could usevit.

    • Hi lunartemis

Unfortunately the prizes will not be transferrable to other customers! Depending on how early you'll be in Japan next year, you still may be able to make use of your prize (would just recommend checking availability dates etc. on the product page of whatever prize you win, to be safe)

      Team Klook

  • I wonder how many people that win a prize in the spin actually intend on visiting Japan and redeeming it? I'm guessing the majority of "winners" will spin the wheel just for the fun of it.

I'm hoping there is a decent Shopback or Cashrewards temp cashback rate to stack, because 5% is pretty lame. Looking to get some JR Kansai-Hiroshima passes and USJ tickets, but 5% was a little disappointing.

    • Thanks Spun for sharing your thoughts.

If you win a ticket, you still need to book it! If you don't book it, the tickets will be reserved for other winners until the end of the day or when the quantity runs out - whichever happens first.

We recommend to check the availability dates on the tickets you would like to win, as some may not extend to meet your travel dates.

      Team Klook

      • That's good then! Keeping my fingers crossed for a USJ ticket. There is no worries about my travel dates, as I'm in Japan right now (on a train using my Green JR pass I bought from Klook as I type this).

Edit : I was hoping for a bigger discount on the JR Kansai Hiroshima pass, but 5% will have to do.

  • Hi op! Travelling on the 11/1, can we still get the jr passes in time?

    • Hi lzefyre,

Thanks for your question. The JR Pass must be booked at least 14 days before you intend to travel to Japan. Once purchased, you will then receive an Exchange Order in the mail. You have 90 days - from the purchase date on Klook - to swap the Exchange Order for the actual, physical JR Pass in Japan. Once exchanged in Japan, you then have 30 days to activate your JR Pass and start travelling on the trains.

      Hope that helps!

      Team Klook

  • Are there any Japan sim card that come with a phone number?

  • Hi @BookWithKlook

How does the expiry dates work with the Klook Pass Tokyo (or any other city's)?

Hypothetically, can I buy the pass, reserve an activity on the 30th day from purchase (thus "activating" the pass), and then reserve another activity on the 60th day from purchase (as the instructions imply I can reserve activities within 30 days from activation)?

Additionally, can I reserve activity dates that are past the expiry date of the Klook Pass? e.g. 1 day before Klook Pass expiry, can I reserve an activity for another 30 days in the future?

    Thanks :)

    • Hi konakona

The expiry date of the Klook Passes will be X days from purchase (e.g. 30 days for the Tokyo Pass). This means that the reservation of any activities will need to be within this - in the example of the Tokyo Pass, you'll need to have reserved your activities within 30 days and visit the attractions within this period. You can find out more info on our Klook Passes page - https://www.klook.com/en-AU/tetris/promo/klook-pass/

Once you've reserved your activity, some may also require additional reservation on the actual operator's website, so just make sure to double check T&Cs beforehand.

So many sooks in this thread. If you're not going to Japan in the next 90 days just thrott on and give the rest of us a chance to win.

    • Hi maybeamacy

The 2/3/4 Attractions Pass options will allow you to pick from 18 activities, whereas the Super Saver 2/3/4 options will allow you to select from 8 activities!

    Hi OP,

Got some DL CA tickets from your last post after you confirmed us they were good until Jan 2025.

However, we received tickets expiring in Jan 2024.

Thank you for referring us to the support department, but they just told me “We're sorry to inform that we will not be able to provide a new voucher with new validity date for you due to system limitations. It appears that the tickets you have purchased were one of the last few tickets from the old stock and the new policy was accidentally updated around the same time you made the purchase.”

I understand errors may occur on your side, but the fact you are not willing to fix them and just offer to cancel the order and for me to pay full price now is just not good customer service.

Very disappointed with the service, OP. Is there anything you can do to sort this out?

    • Hi Nachotronscoso,

      • Hi There

can you please provide an update?

  • Is there any deal that I can buy now and use in April? All the deals are with 3 months expiry - i.e. you must be in Japan to activate etc before March 25th next year (not sure everyone jumps in understands this) unless I'm missing something here.

    • Hi npnp,

  • been monitoring the JR passes. Looks like prices(vs from a few days ago) has been raised just in time for this deal.

    • it might be because the exchange rate's gone down

      • Yes the yen shot up about 5% in a day when the Japanese Central Bank said they were planning interest rate rises.

    • Thanks for sharing alphanumericbargains,

Could be a number of factors for pricing changes - updates on operator's MSP side, currency fluctuations etc.
