Sorry!
OP, I have a 3-gang switch. Do you think I could fit 3 of these behind a single 3-gang switch?
Try Bunnings for diy electrical advice
I'm a klutz and wouldn't dare touch any electrical wiring. Just trying to get a better idea of how many units I need to buy so that I can reduce the chance of needing to call out a sparky twice.
I have been able to do this with Shelly relays, it is a tight squeeze but possible.
Thanks for the feedback.
If there's room at the light they can be installed there too, that's what I had done with a bunch of Shelly 1L's I had put in.
Sadly no support for homekit custom firmware on the Shelly Dimmer 2 yet though :(
If you have gyprock walls then it will not be an issue. However, if they are concrete it will depend on how far the wall was dug out originally.
Thanks. Order placed.
And order received - super fast shipping! Got a sparky lined up to install them on Friday. Exciting times!
This work with google home?
Yes, they work with Google and Alex through the shelly cloud app.
Sweet as! Been waiting for these, bought 2 pack. Thanks OP!
You may need to spend another $50.
Quoting from their website: Do I need a Selly Bypass device ($9.99)?
If you are using the Shelly 1L or the Shelly Dimmer 2 in a place with no neutral wire (such as behind a light switch) and you live in Australia, yes you most likely do.
If the total connected load is less than 20 watts then you will need a bypass.
How much?
