  • my boot drive, got from a previous deal a long ago for $80, it is good :D

  • I don't think the 510 has DRAM. Has SLC cache though.
Maybe it's just the 1TB version that doesn't have DRAM

  • forget any reviews you may have seen.
The current spec sheet has no mention of DRAM
    https://www.seagate.com/content/dam/seagate/migrated-assets/…

    • Cmon bro, the FireCuda 520 spec sheet doesn't list DRAM either so is every review on this drive wrong as well?

      This 510 has DRAM

      • do all capacities have DRAM or only 512?

  • +2

Similar performance between gen 3 and 4? but I see the read speed got some significant difference.
When compare this to Kingston 2TB NV2 M.2 NVMe SSD ($199 no DRAM I think), running at Sequential Read/Write 3,500/2,800MB/s, isn't BarraCuda 510 much more expensive? (sorry I am new to this)
By the way, the pricing and website both so similar to MSY, wonder if they are affliated.

  • low endurance, explains the price i think
