they are cheap but their warranty on phones are terrible….

"All Mobile handsets come with 1 month DutyFreeCentral.com Australia / New Zealand local warranty."

Two weeks ago there was a special, $699 and I almost bought that. I thought I missed out and was kicking myself. But now I'd be kicking myself a lot harder if I actually went ahead with it.

I speculate the price floor for this phone will be $550 shipped.

Everyday is another S3 offer. Can someone please tell me when they are giving these phones away?

    • +14

$606.92 Shipped is a deal and not a give away. Maybe you could "give away" 600 bucks to me?

      • -1

I was joking, they seem to be dropping $20/week.

    I'll wait till it's $500.

Happy with my current phone. Nokia e63. ;)

    • Don't buy the S3 if you're already happy ;)

  • dam i want a good deal on a blue one, i want to be one of the few with the blue s3.

I just got trolled by my 65 year old dad the other day.

He said "I was thinking of getting a s3 for you but mum's contract is only expiring in a November. Guess what? I just bought a blue s3 for myself." Accompanied by photos.

      Dad 1: Son 0 (s3).

How do you get trolled by your un-tech savvy dad who doesn't even know how to backup or install wares on his old samsung galaxy? :/

    • Isn't the blue one practically black? Pebble blue is the same price: http://www.dutyfreecentral.com/tbcart/pc/Samsung-GALAXY-S-II…

The white one is 609 plus shipping on kogan

And 30 more for the blue plus shipping.

12 months warranty, better deal than this one?

Now it's a better deal on kogan, just checked a moment ago and it's 579 plus shipping.

I am still part of that 30% people who are not using any Smart phone. However, my 35 AUD phone has following functionalities.

1: Dual SIM - Both works simultaneously and no need to switch or turned off phone. One number is reserved for job and other is for family.

2: MP3 Player - can play almost all file types

3: Video Recorder with 1.3 MP Camera

4: Up to 8 GB extension via memory card

    5: Inbuilt FM

6: 1500mph Mammoth battery - can last for 3-4 days with 2 to 4 hour of use on daily basis

7: Can use Phone camera as a Webcam on computer - Skype or any other messenger

8: Alarm , Calculator, Bluetooth connectivity, USB 2.0 etc .

Not sure why everyone is after a latest gadgets where they hardly uses 5% of its functionality. What I have observed is that most of the people are either playing game , watching movies or surfing net. And amazing part is that they have Smart Phone, Tablets and Laptops to do same.

I don't want to have to whip out my laptop and the usb modem every time I need to send an email on the go.

The only thing I'd rate your phone to a smartphone better in terms of would be the godly battery life.. not that it requires much to power a brick.

      • I reckon battery life on smart phones will increase amazingly in the next 3 years. They are playing with hydrogen at the moment. I guess it just depends on whether you are willing to risk a long lasting explosive battery. :P

    • do you really drive a vr4 galant? Lmao. What a pos car

  • dutyfreecentral is the worst site i had to deal with. they never reply to my emails. i think the site is run by kim jong il's son.

  • I want 4g lte version. When is it coming?

    • Probably late this year/early next year. The thing is you'll only be able to use it in the city on Telstra. (Optus may have some availability soon)

  • basically $607 without warranty….
