you can finish the story in under 10hrs and there is a 10hr trial on EA Play (free with gamepass tier)
This is not/no longer the case, the 10hr trial cut's off at the end of week 1 in the story. I know as I had the same plan to finish the story using the trial.
I've been playing like half-hour to an hour at a time and only just hit the week-structure part of the story so thanks for the heads up. will cruise around until the timer expires.
That's me… Got it digital cause I was sucked into the early access preorder bonus. Ironically I've probably played it for only about an hour cause I was busy with Ragnarok.
Yep that's the crux of gaming. I treat hobbies like disposable throw away money.
If it makes you feel any better, I have a more expensive shooting hobby, I shoot competitions with a semi-auto handgun and in about 15-20 minutes I go through about 50 rounds which costs me like $25-$30 and I do this once to twice a week. Very expensive hobby with everything else that goes with it.

I hate the soundtrack and the characters/story suck. The cartoon effects are cool though. I'm good, the gamepass trial was enough.
Pretty good game, some really cringe moments in the story heavy career mode, but probably the best NFS game in quite a few years. Great price.
