  • Is it actually worth going to with just a general ticket?

They seem to have all sorts of add-ons. Meh to paying that much.

    • I agree, it's a confusing web site… But you'd want to hope that just turning up gives you access to most stuff. The list of exhibitors is 3 pages long. I don't care about the cooking classes, meeting the chefs or the dining room. Just give me the wine!

  • The GFWS is a fabulous value and a great day out. I will be going at least two days. The first day alone, The second with my daughter.

  • How does this work? I dont want to ask the gf as I'm thinking of surprising her. She wants to go along for the food and wine tasting etc - does this get covered by general admission? Or are all those paid add ons? SOmeone please elaborate! :(

    • If you just want to enjoy the luxury of roaming the isles and taste your way around all the different features and exhibitors at the Good Food & Wine Show - then a General Entry Pass is for you.

A General Entry Pass gets your through the doors at the Show and access to hundreds and hundreds of food and wine exhibitors. Should you wish to attend an additional celebrity session on the day, simply visit the Celebrity Theatre Box Office located on the Show floor and request a ticket*

      • Oh I see, that's great. THe website was abit misleading, I didn't know if General Entry gave access to the said stalls /features of food, or if all the bolt on classes/paid additions did this (as these were quite exp and not really my budget i was looking for to surprise the girl friend).

I shall purchase the general entry tickets then! :) Are these stalls free tastings for whatever you like? Can you only try once or try as many/whatever you like? Not to sound like a greedy glutton , as I'm not, but the gf likes her food and wine especially so this definitely sounds like the thing she needs if she can let loose as far as trying/sampling everything :).

I am planning other things that day… I know on say sundays they close at 5pm.. how long does one need at the show? would 3-4 hrs be ample time? or 2-3? or would this be pushing it?

        THanks for the help bel.

  • there is now a 'Good Food Promotion: $10 Off' option on the Ticketek website without any coupon code needed, which brings the general admin ticket down to $23.50 + $2.95 booking fee.

    • what is a "good food promotion" and how do we access this? Do we just goto book/pay as per normal?

Thanks! Sure beats the $5 off. haha although both sure would be good. :)

Edit: Found it when you goto the next page for the ticket purchase. I'm abit scared/sceptical as it says the ticket is "Good Food Promotion: $10 Off" as opposed to the full priced "Adult $33.50 " - i know it sounds silly but I sure hope the good food promotion is a normal entry ticket/not restricted in any way given it doesn't mention if it's for an adult or whoever?

Before you proceed to the ticket page , there's a little fine print: "Transaction fees from $4.95 per transaction apply. Ticket orders are subject to credit card approval and customer account verification. "

SOmehow I think it's the ticket price + 2.50 admin for the ticket delivery, + $4.95 from this little fine print.. if so major gauging of unnecessary/non existing fees :S
