I’m a current McDonald’s employee and have been for a few months.

I work amongst some restaurants in southern brisbane :)
What's the deal with only putting one or two or no pickles on quarter pounders.. are pickles high cost or do cooks not like them so leave them off ?
I’m not sure, pickles aren’t a high cost item and should be included with every order.
Why is the "meat" in a big mac so thin these days you can see through it?
Yeah, the meat is pretty thin these days. Not 100% sure why but I guess it’s a cost-cutting measure
Is it fun to work there, or brutal, or where in between?
Would you recommend working there to other teenagers, or is there somewhere better for kids to work?
You’ve gotta be prepared to work for your money. There is typically lots of pressure on employees to get orders out and you should be able to work with this.
It’s a great first job for teenagers or for a short time however nothing too long-term
Is it possible for a 18 year old, no work experience person to get a job in McDonald's?
Definitely, stores are always looking for more staff and no prior experience is necessary.
Thanks. Couple more question… What's the best way to go about it? Apply online or talk directly with the manager in store.
What is the significance of resume when there is no experience?
Either way works however going in person would likely speed up employment. A resume is always good to have but not essential.
How much do you make? Do you enjoy your job?
Not completely sure of the hourly rate as it varies so much (weekend loading, public holiday pay, allowances, etc).
It’s pretty easy work when you know what to do and I don’t mind working here for a few months :)
Sounds like you have a great team you’re working with. Perhaps a sign of great food and service. Given this is anonymous, which restaurant / restaurants do you work at?
