    Amazon price match plz

    • +1

I don’t think it’s in stock with Amazon.

  • +1

    Thanks OP

  • +1

Thanks, OP. Just got myself a copy. Hopefully it's enjoyable :)

    • +6

For $30 it's worth the entry price! A very different experience from BotW

    • +3

I played it for the first time on Switch and I enjoyed it. As much as I like BoTW I do enjoy the old formula of beat shrine/dungeon, get new item and new area opening up.

    • +3

My least favourite 3D Zelda so far mainly due to the clunky control.

  • I have an unpatched switch…why the hell am I still buying physical copies of games :P

    Thanks OP, snagged a copy.

    • +2

Me too but honestly I find it too much effort to bother downloading and installing, easier to just buy the games and sell or swap when done

      • +2

I also love the experience of choosing what game to play next from my physical titles… Like being a kid at a video shop all over again

        • +1

Yeah, I found when I use to dabble in a bit of piracy, and now with streaming services, that too much choice prevents me from appreciating the medium.

A focussed, limited physical library is more enjoyable for me.

    • Same here, might hack mine when I get next year's Zelda switch( no matter it's oled or newer version) but I still buying physical games when I can.

  • Bargain

  • Also there's this: https://www.target.com.au/p/warioware-get-it-together-ninten…

Got skyward and warioware for Xmas presents, thanks OP!

    • +3

I was tempted by warioware too but it's just that touch too much even at $40!

      • +1

Same but I figured average $35 each per kid isn't bad

  • +2

Combine with https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/615490 to get 2 copies for $50

    • Pretty sure it doesn't work for game software.

  • +1

I haven't played my Switch in a good while but I don't remember big name Nintendo games going for less than $60 very often. Skyward Sword is a fantastic game too.

    • Is it? I found it so frustrating even on Wii

      • I think they improved the controls aside from the HD for the switch.

  • Thanks OP, just in time to use the one pass benefits before my black Friday trial expired.

  • +2

Thanks OP. I already played this on the Wii, so i don't even know why i just bought another copy….

    • It's in the title, HD! Because that makes all the difference
(Okay and the new sword controls)

  • +1

Only to match my skyward joycons.

  • +1

Was told they took my payment and that theyd be in contact with me about my order, then it went out of stock. Better not have lost my copy…

  • Damn, bought this recently for much more!

  • Thanks OP have put in a C&C for a store that has low stock. Hopefully they can find the stock and isn't missing

  • can i put this onto my switch without having to put in the game card? as I always lose them with kids. and prefer to have download copies.

    • Nope - you need to keep the game card handy to play it

  • I have a 9yo who is just getting in to Zelda (books), more of a Fortnite/Rocket League player than walk around and find hidden objects type of player so is this, or BOTW, any good for him?

    • What are the books? I've but heard of them. I was tempted to write one!

    • +1

I think for a 9 year old the juxtaposition of this and BOTW might be too much, the mechanics are quite different

    • +1

SS is linear but the puzzle/dungeon design is quite crafty.
      OoT/TP/MM I found the puzzles/dungeons more straightforward.

BOTW is a different genre, if he likes open world layered exploration, then it might suit

I finished OoT when I was 6 and loved it though, age is no barrier!

      • Wtf. At what age did you start playing video games if you finished OOT at 6? I guess with a lot of parental help it could be achieved.

        • Haha it's a running joke that I was a child genius for finishing it at 6…
In hindsight it's quite an achievement, but it is one of the more "guided" Zelda games imo. I struggled to finish MM at an older age in comparison.

          • @MoreChilli23: What age did you start playing games? My kids are 5. I haven’t introduced them to gaming yet though.

            • @phatmike128: I was about 4, started on games like Donkey Kong Country on super nintendo. Then moved onto N64 Super Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, OoT…. My niece is 5 and has been gaming for a year, mostly Mario switch games, she found Odyssey too hard though.

    • +1

I would say BOTW, because the game is so big and you can play in so many different ways that he might have it grow with him - for now he might just wanna ride a horse around and cook, but as he ages he might explore more of the game.

  • Played this game on Wii U and Switch HD, gotta say the latter was wayyyy better due to the clunky joycon motion controls becoming a flick the right analog stick…. loved it so much more the second time around!

    • +1

This guy's living in 2025 with his Switch HD…

      • Yeah didn't I say I'm the tiktok time traveller who predicted a Brazil France 2-1 World Cup final?

  • Target Garden City is just across the road from me, so I walked over and grabbed the second last copy. Its quite likely the OP lost out on the last remaining copy at their store of choice with another customer by coincidence, so at least for today, it shouldn't be out of stock at many of the remaining Target stores that still has the C&C option.

    • That'll teach me to post on here before I have my copy in hand!

      • +1

That’s why I did not order it online, I went straight to my local to get a copy

        • Good advice!

  • +2

I just walked into my local target and picked one up for 30 so not out of stock

  • yeah I never use the online store ever because the target system is so crap the best thing to do is always walk into a store.

  • +1

Order just got cancelled. Damn it!

  • +1

Just out walking around and grabbed a copy from Target Innaloo. I asked if anymore, but was last copy.

  • +1

At least one copy is still available at Helensvale if anyone is interested.

  • Great deal, thanks! Mine just shipped. It's couriersplease but meh, a bargain is a bargain

  • +4

I got Big W to price match and extra 10% off with rewards =)

    • Ooof good work!
