It appears they have implemented these promos 'properly'.
Targeted accounts have a (what appears to be) unique code with data on uses and max uses.
Codes are automatically added to the cart in the background and the item code itself is the same as what appears in the regular menu.

I know this is not a review site of kfc.
But (profanity) have they gone down hill. Chicken tastes nothing but salt and often only giving shit cuts. Yeah, shrinkflation and all that, but atleast maccas kept their food tasting the same.

Yeah its pretty bad. Though we were away for the weekend at Caloundra recently and ordered the ozbargain favourite the "Cheap as Chips" expecting it to be barely par as usual. To my surprise it has completely perfect, old testament KFC. Great chicken, fresh full well seasoned chips. When its good, its good.

Their chips are soggy and their buns aren't "fresh".
Much prefer Korean fried chicken when i can get some.
Don't forget when they replaced lettuce with cabbage when lettuce was too expensive.
Also, the ASX company that owns KFC, Collins Foods, told the market a couple of weeks ago they were increasing their menu prices to counter shrinking profits.
It's only ever worth buying KFC on these types of special offers for what you actually get.
Cabbage is better than lettuce. I wish they made that change permanent

As others have said….. it's gone downhill has KFC. Just make your own at home.
Add
2.5cups of plain flour with the following
1) 2/3 Tablespoon Salt
2) 1/2 Tablespoon Thyme
3) 1/2 Tablespoon Basil
4) 1/3 Tablespoon oregano
5) 1 Tablespoon Celery Salt
6) 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
7) 1 Tablespoon Dried Mustard
8) 4 Tablespoon Paprika
9) 2 Tablespoon Garlic Salt
10) 1 Tablespoon Ground Ginger
11) 3 Tablespoon White Pepper
Mix dry items
Mix 1 egg with 1 cup of buttermilk. Suit quantity yourself.
Soak chicken in buttermilk for 20-30 minutes.
Remove chicken from buttermilk, allow most to drip off, then coat all sides in dry mix and rest for 20 minutes.
Heat Canola oil to medium / high heat. and fry 3-4 pieces at a time for 15-18 minutes.
Remove chicken and allow it to rest on paper towel or drying rack.
Eat your chicken!

Pretty close actually. To be bang on you need a pressure cooker thing, and also MSG in the recipe.
