    Streets Golden Gaytime

  • Borgs gozleme.. resistance is futile.

    • +2

      Totally agree.

Try the Aldi gozleme if you get a chance, I reckon it is even better!

        • +3

Yeah there is a head to head review on YouTube. The Aldi version is clearly superior.

        • +1

definitely better than the Borgs. I tried that one a few months ago (half price) and pretty disappointed with the taste…not even worth it at half price.

        • +1

Aldi version is better. Borgs pastry is more flaky if you prefer it that way, but the filling might leak a bit more. can't complain at half price though.

Robert Timms Coffee Bags 28 Pack $6.75 each

Bloody hell, talk about inflation. The usual 1/2 price was $4.82.

    • Would you rather get tea bags now?

  • +4

rice and tuna, washed down with bottled water.. bland lunch is set

    • Bottled water? Too expensive

  • +3

Blah blah same supermarket song week after week and huge price increases .

    • Nice hyperbole. No, the “huge” price increase is when these return to the regular, everyday, rip-off price… a 100% increase!

All these “specials” do is reward people with too much time on their hands. Screw the specials, and we’d have more equality in the human soup

Damn got suckered into the Gaytime 2-for-$14 special last week, now they are going to be $4.75. Still will pick up some more, they're decent.

    • I tried the Aldi dupe recently and it's ok

  • +1

Coles $2.3 diced mixed frozen veggies are gone :/

    • +3

They'd rather you eat a Gaytime. But in all seriousness it worries me that fresh and frozen veg, seafood and meats will become more expensive than takeaway at some point in time. And they'll become something available to the wealthy, while the poor buy takeout instead. I hope that sounds crazy tho.

      • I don't think it'll happen as takeaway prices would slowly creeping up too (although I haven't seen rises at my Menulog locals).
Hard to get a takeaway meal cheaper than two slices of bread, three Sunny Queen free range eggs, and 5g EVOO.

        • Genuine question.. What makes you guys think buying take-away is more economical than buying your own food to cook?

Food prices are going up for everyone, even businesses.

      • +2

I mean, every Coles in my area struggles to keep frozen broccoli in stock, not to mention other random frozen vegies. If you told 8-year-old me that one day I'd be depressed because I couldn't buy broccoli, I wouldn't have believed me!

        • Adulting at its finest

    Thank you Samwise Gamgee!

In the name of inflation, most businesses is increasing ridiculous prices and making money and driving their Mercedez;)

  • Why is the same Frantelle water $9.75?
