Thanks for sharing op! really wished we had the scooters here in Sydney - would be so much fun

    • Be glad you don't have them. Freaking sucks. You can't walk anywhere without being at risk of being smashed into by some idiot going 30km/hr on a sidewalk and going way too close to pedestrians

      • About time councils do some infrastructure upgrades to allow more bike paths. Fortunately Tassie is proving to be quite good in that area.

        • Yeah I agree, I do like riding e-scooters, and in theory its good. Its just a lot of people are too stupid to use them well

@Boioioioi: Unfortunately the rental riders are the worst.

It should be banned. It doesn't replace cars, it replaces walking.

        • +2

So do you support banning mountain bikes, road bikes and anything else that's not a car. My scooter and EUC can do things a mountain bike can do and a car cannot. Offroad trails.

@Clear: False fallacy. Issue is escooters

            • +2

@e4c5: Nope. False fallacy. There's no issue with eScooters.

              • @Clear: False fallacy call on false fallacy. We are talking about eScooters here, not bikes, road bikes or space shuttles or aircraft carriers

                • +1

@e4c5: False fallacy call on false fallacy call on false fallacy.

Nothing wrong with eScooters. They replace nothing like bikes, cars, motorbikes, planes and boats. They all have a purpose.

      • The Neurons are limited to 20km/h.

        • Good point. But I'm not putting my hand up to be hit at 20km/h by an escooter & rider…

  • Wonder if this works on their weekly plans? Probably not

    Mobility scooters?

  • Good deal, but I always have the worst time riding Neurons (as opposed to Beams). No suspension, super laggy throttle, and even on brand new scooters the brakes don’t have linear actuation so they snatch and grab unexpectedly. A shame that Beams are constantly on surge pricing.
