Chevron & VW, both great at cheating environmental regulation ,& dodging tax.
Sounds like aatch made in heaven.
But seriously, you're better off trying energizer or Duracell from a known store (OW/woolies/coles/Bunnings/etc). And see how ya go.
i'm pretty sure this chevron has nothing to do with Chevron Energy, well known environnmental vandal
btw. I think Reject shop has toshiba 4 pack for $4… made in china though
cr2032 are in everything i own
remote burns through the batteries I use (non-branded alkaline)
Just buy decent batteries… ?
I’m on OzBargains because I am tight. Energizer and Duracell are not the cheapest.
Best value rarely means the absolute cheapest 👍
Varta are good and usually cheaper than those other 2
You can put it slightly thicker battery in for it to last a bit longer. For example, I use CR 2032 instead of 2025 in mine VW key fob (it's a bit tricky, you have to use the cover to push battery in, but it works), and it lasts about 18 months give or take.
I have used 2032 size of this brand for my Nissan X-Trail keys and they are terrible. I had to change them within a month more than once. I have since started using a Duracel and it has been great and going strong since the start of the year. You can get them from catch for $10:

Panasonics are my go to for coin cells but not getting fakes seems to be getting harder all the time. Best bet are the parallel imports (again assuming not fake).
Oooh I’d love to get these but don’t really see them anywhere in the shops?
Anyone got experience using these on a VW key fob? My remote burns through the batteries I use (non-branded alkaline) and I've seen lots of posts about only using Energizer or Duracell on the VW key fobs.
