Looking back at OB history the cheapest the AA's has ever been was way back in 2020 and this is the cheapest it's been since then.
So what’s your point? Aldi batteries are still cheaper at their regular price and I get very good performance out of them too. Tried Duracell and energiser, and the Aldi ones seem to last longer actually. Won’t waste a cent more on these.
What's yours? We are discussing the price of Energizers in this thread, not the relative merits of Aldi vs Energizer.
Also both batteries are also around the same 3000mAH capacity so it seems unlikely that under the same conditions the Aldis will last longer.
Thanks, got one of each
same, thanks OP
Thanks!
Surely we’re all using rechargeable AA and AAA batteries by now?
Some people don't care..
Recycle, reuse, reduce! Not when your kids have tons of toys that needs batteries.
Rechargeables no good?
Good to use where possible but guess not the best in some stuff.@G-rig: Rechargeable are great. But not when it’ll be used in random kids’ toys and then being forgotten and given away. Those eneloops could be more expensive than the toy lol
@xenoic: Yeah different uses and rechargeables probably aren't the best in remote controlled cars etc, where you want longest runtime. Agree with others, they are the way to go in remotes and other stuff.
Just make sure you get ones that don't leak (like LADDA) if you forget about it (but best to take out). Bunning Varta seem alright for cheap most of the time.
Not everything works well with rechargeables unfortunately.
Yeah, I have to agree with you there. I use Eneloops in everything I can, but sometimes, it just does not cut it
I use mostly rechargeable but they only work well in light usages situation imo. ie clocks, remotes, night lights.
Nothing worse than loosing a set of enloops to a some kids toy that you forgot about.
Also nothing better than throwing away an old kids toy and cracking it open to find a pair of enloops….
@Sapper50: So true!
AAA should be cheaper because they're smaller (cuter) and use less materials
Nice try , tight arse .
AAA 24 Pack is also $9.49 at Catch for those interested that have the OnePass for free delivery.
I've got a $10 JB perk expiring on 7 Dec.
Let me try to ask them to price match Amazon :DSmart idea, is it through chat?
Do they?
JB will price match amazon usually yeah.
"Energizer Max batteries are on sale again and are even cheaper then the recent Black Friday sale"
THAN the recent Black Friday sale…..So many people get it wrong.
This needs more up votes
How does it compare Varta which is cheaper at Bunnings?
I've been meaning to try but my bro swears by them. Problem is everytime I run low I happen to be heading to Aldi's or see a OB post like this!
I’ve had Varta and they don’t last long
Varta were bought out by Energizer in 2019 and production is no longer in Germany. I found this out a few months ago when going to purchase a pack from Bunnings. The branding is slightly different, turned over the pack and noticed it's now owned by Energizer and made in China. They now likely come out of an Energizer facility which may explain a change in quality/performance.
That's a shame they used to be great for the price. So I guess these energizer max are made in china as well anyway.
Anyone know if there is any expiry date for battery
The picture says 10 year shelf life. Depends then how fresh the stock is. I reckon 8 or 9 years left.
Can ask for price-match with JB for those who still haven't found anything to purchase with their $10 off coupon yet
30 x AA sold out
Just a heads up that the link for the 30 x AA pack is now going to the 20 x AA pack.
Sometimes I wonder whether it is better for people to use rechargeable battery vs a single-use one like this.
It's like, whether it would be better off a single-use one, consider rechargeable battery might require more things (whatever it is) to make it to be rechargeable.Ps: I have majorities of battery on rechargeable; the above is just my wonder/curious thing…
some devices don't fit the thicker rechargeable batteries.
Oh wow, didn't know that even though battery has its classification (such as AA / AAA) it could vary for its size.
I thought it's an international standards
Hi drain devices don't like rechargeables which are 1.2V whose voltage will drop off rapidly and then your stuff just stops working.
AAA sold out now too.
Managed to price match Catch price at Jbhifi. Paid $0 with perks code that was expiring anyway.
They wont price match this for me
AA 30 pack back in stock
Are you sure? Link takes me to AA 20 pack
I am sure it was in stock this morning, maybe check throughout the day.
Looks like they've been replaced with 20-packs for about the same price.
It's the link. Due to the 20 pack and 30 pack being available on the same link, when the 30 pack sells out the link defaults to the 20 pack.
It even happens when you click on the 30 pack from the best sellers page
24 pack AAA is back in stock.
Missed out on the 30 pack x AA however picked up the 20 pack and 24 x AAA.
Christmas Day realisation we're out of batteries for the kid's Christmas presents avoidedThanks OP!! Been looking out for AAA batteries!
Back in stock
Nice find but not the cheapest price as per Camelcamelcamel. I’m batteried out for a while after stocking up on Black Friday.
