Only desktop browser has the option last time I cancelled. Not in the app
I've had numerous previous discount Audible subscriptions on my account (been surprised that they all still applied to my account) but this one does NOT work for me.
Hope those able to use it enjoy it. Watch out because they get you on the fact that you lose your unspent credits if you cancel, so make sure you spend your monthly credits as they come up, and set a reminder to yourself to cancel. Or you'll accidentally cost yourself $16.45 per subsequent month.
The good thing is that once you've spent a credit on an audiobook, that book is yours to keep forever on the Audible app even if you no longer have an active subscription. I've done all my listening long after my Audible subscription was deactivated.
What to spend credits on? The performance by the reader/voice actor is important. I'd recommend 'Solo' by William Boyd, which is a pretty decent James Bond spy novel written recently (narrated by Dominic West). Also if you like John Le Carre's spy novels, his autobiography 'The Pigeon Tunnel' is a good listen (narrated by the author himself). The Expanse series by James SA Corey is also a good pickup with free credits if you like sci-fi and haven't read them.

Same here, gave me 2 credits since I was a Prime member. Unfortunately I could not stack it with this deal since I only redeemed the extra free trial recently and it has not expired.

You have access to the Plus Catalogue as a subscriber so lots of free stuff there.
Is 3 free books worth it?
What for 0.99c, well of coarse. Even if it were $10 a book, it is still ok value if the book is decent and is 10hrs + in lenght. How much does a movie cost to rent or a book cost to buy etc. Having said that, I always wait for the deals e.g. $4 a month and use the credits for books that I have already listened to. That way the Author gets something.

It was something off beat as not usually into Zombie type books. This was easy listening with a decent enough storyline. Best part is it includes the series for 1 credit so a decent 27hours of listening.
