Credit Card Complimentary Travel Insurance and COVID Topup

I have a CitiBank credit card that includes complimentary travel insurance which does not cover COVID. When I got the credit card a month ago, I didn't realise that some CC companies were now covering COVID.

Is there any way I can 'topup' my insurance with COVID insurance, or do I need a separate, additional, comprehensive travel insurance product that includes COVID cover?

Context - I am traveling Melbourne to Chiang Mai, Thailand for a 5 week cycling trip.

    I find that standing at a crowded train station is good when needing a covid topup..

    Would the credit card insure the cycling? I know a lot of sports normally aren’t included in base level travel insurance.

    i would have thought even if there is an option to 'top up' additional covers (unlikely as it's offered by 3rd party insurance company; not Citibank themselves) , it will cost more than taking up another travel insurance though i've no idea how much they cost these days.
