  • was this previously wilsons parking?

  • +7

Yes - We took over the car park on Thursday 1st December and have now installed our technology License Plate recognition

    • +9

      Nice!! Keep the rates down.

      Wilson was so expensive.

      • +11

These will be our standard rates - based on supply and demand, but we hope to keep rates the same into the New Year.

    • One of the better carparks in Sydney - dealing with Wilson was a nightmare. Only just used First Parking recently and a welcome change from Wilson and Secure. The license plate recognition is so much better.

      • Thanks so much for the feedback - we do really appreciate it!

    • +1

Can we register without having to provide CC details, and pay on exit?

  • +1

Used to be $5 in the past!

    • I remember this during covid time.

    Weekend All Day- $12.80

Weekend is Saturday, sunday so i only pay $12.80 to park for 2 days?

The weekend is most commonly considered the period between Friday evening and the end of Sunday. More strictly speaking, the weekend is thought to consist of Saturday and Sunday

    • +1

      Saturday = $12.80 + Sunday $12.80 = $25.60. for two.

Our Weekend Rates begin at 4am Saturday until 4am 4am Monday morning.
Friday Evening is $9.60 4pm to 4am Saturday Morning.

    • +1

Tell me which carpark lets you park for an entire weekend based on your thinking. Surely a trolling attempt (poorly done)

    • I love how you're trying to be all strategic about it, c'mon mate lol

      • +1

        Hahah. Anything for a bargain

  • Great! With the Express membership just drive through in and out?

    • +3

correct - license plate recognition technology.

I have done this video on how its works - this will explain it better.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yg5wlh0QjI4

      • +1

That's really good. Wilson's one sucked.. having to book within time and going there etc.. this is great for just drive ups

  • How much is membership?

    • +3

You don't pay for membership it is free to join..
You receive 20% off our drive up rates as a member.

        • +4

That is a pretty common practice when you save your card anywhere. It is usually a temporary authorisation to check the card.

      • Cheers!

  • I’ve used the Melbourne CBD ones a few times now (at $5.60 for evening/weekend). The licence plate recognition doesn’t work sometimes. A bit annoying to have to get the QR code out and scan it but it works.

    • -3

Did you know if police catch you scanning QR code you will be fined for use of mobile device whilst driving

      • +4

No sure about VIC but it's okay in NSW.

NSW drivers, including L and P platers, are permitted to use their mobile phone to make a payment, redeem a voucher or coupon or access a specific area as long as the vehicle is stationary and off road, in a car park, drive-through or driveway without fear of a hefty fine or demerit points.

        • +1

Its the same as going to mcdonald's drive thru.

  • I like the idea of a seamless entry/exit process… but does this mean we can no longer book a parking spot ahead of time?

I’m afraid this means it will be a nightmare during busy event days/evenings - can imagine driving up only to find the car park full.

    • pre booking does not guarantee you a spot, it only guarantees the price. if the car park was full when you made a booking, its tough luck and they send you somewhere else..

  • License plate recognition and ticketless are great inventions but it would be better if there is some kind of "reminder" (maybe an app notification or SMS message) to show when the parking starts and ends, especially for hourly parking.

    • +4

its not hourly parking, all our car parks its one rate all day. flat rate parking is 4am to 4am, doesn't matter what time you enter.

4am the next day you add on the next day rate.

  • Thanks.

  • Nice one signed up

  • It's $13 for market city parking, no signup needed, for comparison.

    • Such a hassle that carpark especially getting out of that road. Traffic light there so bad. Only one way out.

    • $13 weekend of weekday ?

    • my friend recently spent >1hr queuing to get out of that carpark.

  • Any discount for daily parking?

    • +1

Evening (Monday to Friday - $9.60
      Weekend All Day- $12.80
      All Day - Monday - Friday - $12.80
(check website for entry and exit times)

these are the Express member rates,

      • +1

Would be great if you had weekend evening rates as well $9.60, if you enter after 4pm.

  • Does the express membership also discount hotel bookings?

    • Currently it does as we are running a special - however this will change in the new year.

      • Does the special apply to all your Sydney carparks or just the Darling Square one?

        • All car parks in nationally apart from our new site at Darling Quarter - We are still installing our equipment at that site (Monday 5th December is go live…

  • How much for overnight parking on weekdays? Assuming getting out after 4AM that would be 2x$12.8?

    • Thats correct…

  • Perfect. We are driving to Darling Square as we speak. Was just browsing promotions to park there.

    • Awesome — thanks for using us for parking today!

  • Thanks OP. I just joined Express Membership.

    • Awesome - thanks!

  • The address 35 TUMBALONG BOULEVARD, SYDNEY, 2000 on Google maps does not match the dropped pin which comes on using Get Directions button on the website here.
Driving there tomorrow for Argentina v Socceroos, can you confirm which is correct?

    • +1

zollner circuit is the entry to the facility, the building is 35 Tumalong….

Thanks for the heads up on the directions - fixing it now.

      • Fixed…

        • Cheers!

  • If the carpark is full when we enter, is there a grace period to leave again without being charged?

    • +2

Few things we do to help:

We display a full sign on entry rate board, parking guidance is in the facility (red and green) indicators and you have 15 mins to exit without charge.

      • Thank you!

      • As you mentioned, pre-booking with Wilson did not guarantee a space… and trying to get out of this carpark while it was full took a good 45 minutes…

The red/green indicators don't/didn't work whilst under Wilson care…hope you guys will fix it up!

  • If I parked and over stayed to day 2, does it just charge the next day’s rate?
Do you offer short term parking? Say, 2 weeks?

    • "its not hourly parking, all our car parks its one rate all day. flat rate parking is 4am to 4am, doesn't matter what time you enter.

4am the next day you add on the next day rate."

  • No discount today, Darling Quarter system wasn’t ready

  • I really would love to join. But before that, may I ask how secure are my information with you? I was thinking Optus and Medibank Private type of incidents. Thanks.

    • Whatever they say/answer probably isn't worth anything… Its your name, E-mail, licence plate and credit card details; you could use a burner/redirect E-mail and maybe a low limit or rechargeable credit card if you're worried. Licence plate has to be legit as that's how you enter/exit.

  • Awesome, really welcome the rates + making this a million times easier (assuming it works).
Keep it up and screw Wilson :D

  • +1

Sydney CBD parking rates are still too high either way no wonder retail business is struggling still. But then again hopefully enough tourists will be able to fill the hole. Locals with cars likely to stay in the suburbs where there is free parking :P

  • No Daily - Express Flat Rate for $12.80 deal on Meriton Pitt street?

  • parking space for this particular location is always 0 on your website, I have checked at different time / days so Not sure if that’s a system issue or the car park is always full !!

    • The car park isn't full, the counter at this site is not currently working - We are trying to fix it ASAP.

      Plenty of spaces available though!
