It's not just what you pay for gamepass, its the time you put into this garbage of the game. So get a rough number for your hourly rate during personal time * time you spend downloading and playing this game.

It's too late. They'd be better off cutting their losses and just focusing full attention on the next Battlefield game. Maybe spend a few months just going back and playing the older, better BF games to remind themselves of what made the series great in the first place.

That doesn't suggest the scoring system is changing, just that that particular bonus is coming back.
It will probably give you XP like other misc scoring events that aren't kills deaths, captures or assists, such as vehicle damage.
Wish it had SP.

Jumped into this on PC using gamepass ultimate last night and was pleasantly surprised. Crossplay enabled, quick to find a server, No bugs encountered.

This was surprisingly good fund definitely prefering it to battlefield.
Sadly battlefield is to big and slow takes forever to get going and find a game.

Yeah heaps of players and it runs smooth as butter, warzone 2 is an absolute mess compared to this now. Incoming downvotes!
I won't downvote, but many will still not play this game on principle: Games should be feature-complete and playable on release day. If we don't vote with our wallets, it only validates studios to continue with the normalization of crunch culture that is quickly destroying the industry.

No idea, there is no server browser in BF 2042! (except for the portal)
I was playing BF V as well but you should try 2042 the gameplay is so good now.

On a vaguely related note, I think Insurgency: Sandstorm has also just been added to GamePass. That's a great game - it's actually what I play these days instead of Battlefield after the steaming turd that is BF2042 put me off BF. It's smaller scale than BF (probably more like COD in that respect, smaller teams, smaller maps, almost no vehicles), much lower budget, but fantastic to play. It aims for a more hardcore, realistic approach (1 shot will usually be fatal, gives less information in the UI, slower movement especially when weighed down by heavy gear etc), so the learning curve can be steep. But really rewarding game once you get the hang of it (and get a bit of familiarity with the maps), especially if you're lucky enough to be in a team with a group of people who play with some degree of coordination and teamwork.

It's usually $1 if you don't have an active sub, some people buy cheap Xbox Live cards on the cheap beforehand so it can be converted for cheaper.
Not sure if that's still a thing.
Buy a month for $1 and turn off auto renew. Use for a month then let it lapse. Go a few days without Gamepass then buy again for $1, it resets to the promotional price after a couple of days.
I picked it up on release and was underwhelmed. Been playing it a lot the last 2 months on XSX and have really enjoyed. It’s in a better state now and worth playing on Game Pass or picking up cheap.
The only redeeming feature would have been BF Portal, but with how much emphasis there is on progression unlocks with modern games, not giving out xp for the only good mode was absurd.
Not sure if they changed it, but I still love BF5 and have no problems getting a full 64 AU server on console & PC.
BFV has a much better feel to the gameplay, it is hard to switch between the two.
Not worth the time it takes to download. I'm bitter that I paid $90 preordering this. So buggy, and no one to fix the game. They should be sued.
The cod games might be just reskinned copies of the last cod game but atleast they are reliable.
Everything since battlefield hardline has been trash and has really killed the battlefield community.

HODL for 2043
I've played every instalment of the franchise since the original Battlefield 1942. I'm embarrassed to say that I ignored all the negative previews for the game and paid full price for this at launch. I put less than 15 hours into it before uninstalling it and never returning. Making it free on Gamepass means they'll likely need to monetize the game even more through microtransactions and shows how desperate they are to inject fresh players into the player base.
I've also played every installment since 1942 and to me this is by far the most disappointing.
It does feel like a battle royale game shoehorned into something that it wasn't designed to be.
Can't wait to not play this game
