  • Doesn’t work for me on 10kg bags of RC dry food

    • Tried Budget Pets and PetBarn for my dogs canin dry vet - no go.
Worked for PetStock for me though

      • +4

25% off the pet stock price brings it back to the same as the others. Fake bargain.

        • Managed to buy 3 x 8kg bags of the very expensive Canin Veterinary Anallergenic for $277 delivered at budget pets (had to setup a new account to do it). Normal price on this is around $140 - 150 for 1 8kg bag when on sale - but often retails normally for $170. So very happy with that

  • Actually it works at Budget but they only have 4kg bags

  • +1

Didn’t work for me when I tried at pet barn

    • tried at budget

got 3x15kg bags of medium dog food with autodelivery for $235 (ie $5.22/kg)

      thanks OP

  • +1

    Didn’t work at petbarn

  • +1

Thanks only worked at budget for me. 12kg of gastrointestinal dry food.

  • -5

Made by Mars FYI. Don't feed your dogs this if you can avoid it.

    • +1

Although I agree for their normal range. Their vet range are pretty good. I go through a 8kg bag a week with my Great Dane of anallergenic dry due to skin sensitivities. We moved him onto it based off of a dermatologist vet specialist (they sold hills at the time) it’s changed his life completely. Trust me I would be buying taste of the wild for him if I could and my wallet would love me

      • -1

Did you read the review I linked?

There’s a cunning labelling trick called ingredient splitting where an ingredient is split into two to make another ingredient (usually meat) look more significant. We’re easily fooled into thinking the first ingredient is the main one when it isn’t.

We can consider maize flour and maize the same thing, so a classic case of ingredient splitting.

On the subject of wheat, I find this a common cause of skin and health problems in dogs, and a possible precursor to your vet prescribing Royal Canin Anallergenic to address the issues when they arise (clever, eh?)

        • I’ve done a boatload more research into this and tried multiple other foods including custom raw diet…. Unfortunately for a dog that eats about 1kg a day depending what it is raw is a bit of a nightmare and also wasn’t solving his issues 100% as his gut was also not loving everything.

Also that website used to be good but is now a litttttle dodge from my findings but hey do what works for you

  • Thank you. Worked for me at Petbarn

  • Purchased 20kg from Budget. The cats and I thank you OP!

  • It works at petbarn but no extra discount is applied because it's already discounted. Pretty silly. Petbarn seems to be cheapest anyway at 30% at least for kitten 10 kg

  • Might I add wet food is ALWAYS cheaper at budgetpetproducts.com.au for bulk anyway

  • Cheers just purchased 12 bags of 8kg anallergenic for my dog… legit will only last me 3months if I’m lucky

    • username checks out !

  • +2

Budget worked out the best for me for Royal Canin wet cat food. It also seemed to apply a first time discount for buying RC, and an additional 5% for the subscription, so total stacked about 35% discount, you just saved me a couple hundred, thank you (and no having to wait for cashback like I usually do to get this price)!

  • +1

Petbarn and Petstock seem to only apply the discount on RRP
Budget Pets applies the discount on top of the already discounted price but charges for shipping for us poor souls in the west

However, PetCircle also accepts the code, applies on top of the already discounted price and its free shipping to WA

  • +3

Works at pet circle! Using with Amex $15 off $50 :)

  • +6

Code works at Pet Circle too. Worth updating the post.

    Perfect timing too. Thanks OP.

    • +1

      definitely should update post!!

checked all the sites and even with the code, can't beat pet circle.

But thanks to you guys for confirming it works at pet circle!

12 kg digestive down to 98 less 15 back from Amex!

      • depends on the product i'd say and also timing. I check both before i buy to compare and its 50-50 for me. This time budget won..

    • Gotta love Pet Circle; 24kg for $158 delivered!

  • +1

Worked for me at PetCircle, thanks OP!

  • Worked for Royal Canin Indoor Cat at Budget Pet, also stacked with 5% auto delivery discount. Thanks! 😊

Not valid at PetBarn and didn't bother with PetStoxk because their price was jacked

  • Works with Budget! First time paying under $100 for Royal Canin in a long time!

    • -1

      Not for me.

      • Thanks for the neg.I found that it didn't like me because I bought too much. I reduced it and was able to check out.

You have to be careful with Budget, they've cancelled stuff that was on sale because it was out of stock rather than waiting to get more in and honouring it.

  • +2

The usual ripoff from Petbarn. Totally inflated prices that they have never sold the product at, ever. Then a “discount” which means any code is not useable. Royal Canin Medium 15kg has never sold for $185. I’m surprised they are allowed to get away with it, time after time.

    • +4

Agree with the sentiment but not sure why you are negging the deal which clearly works at other sites without that issue

      • +1

Pet stock had an inflated $180 and the code didn’t work at Budget on that product

    • The usual ripoff from Petbarn. Totally inflated prices that they have never sold the product at, ever.

      You don't know that.

      • The $185 is $5 higher than the RRP… thats pretty cool.

        • What does that have to do with Zaphod42's comment?

      • No I don’t but anyone who pays $185 is paying between $65 and $95 more than the normal selling price at a number of outlets. I’ve even bought it under $90 through various deals. I’m guessing nobody is stupid enough to pay up to 100% more than they should

  • Created an account with budget pet products just to be stung with $42 delivery fee… Thankfully works at pet circle for a few dollars more.

    • must be post code dependent, i ordered 45kg of dog food and shipping was free

  • +1

Thanks OP. My Corgi and Dachshund now have 40kg of biscuits to get through. Should take them a while.

  • +1

Didn't work at petbarn but worked at petcircle. Thanks OP!

    • pet circle too? :O didn't even check there!
meh, price was better in budget..

  • -7

anyone who feeds their dog this garbage is straight up feeding their dog trash

all unregulated meats, no nutrients, synthetically added

    • +9

      Meh

My dog also sniffs other dogs butts, eats scraps from the floor and licks his genitals

      I wouldn’t call him a connoisseur

      • +1

So good. My favourite comment from Ozbargain in months!

    • Curious what you feed your dog, I have had a few bad batches of kibble from meals for mutts and ivory coat, one even had sharp bone fragments sticking out of each piece in the large bags and put me off it.

      • My last MFM bag had maggots in it, good value but probably won't go back

      • the best food thats suitable for dogs is below,

        1. raw
        2. making your own thats even if you're doing mince, rice etc. Heaps of recipes online. Make in large batches
        3. A company called lyka, excellent food and been giving my dog this since she was a pup, This is perfect for people with less time

I am in the pet industry (not food related) but ive seen how kibble is made. No regulation, some companies have even used road kill for the meat

Kibble is also very bad for your dogs teeth.

Anyway its your dog, you do whatever, the science doesn't lie, nor does the label on your dog food, read it and let me know if you understand exactly whats in your dogs kibble.

  • Amazing deal, my pets love this stuff. Even better stacked with the Amex deal, came down to about $1 per serving! Thanks op

  • Works for Eukanuba on Budget too.

  • Anyone get this to work on wet cat food?
I tried Felix at both Pet Circle & Budget but code not allowed

    • +1

Yes it works on Royal Canin and Eukanuba brands at Budget.

    • It doesn't work on the vet food at Petcircle or Petbarn but it does at Budget, or it did for me.

  • +1

scam - only works on inflated prices at PetStock

    • +2

      try budget pet products

      • thanks, it actually worked on the royal cannin indoor dry food.. it's still more expensive than getting it from my local animal rescue centre but they don't have stock atm so I will buy here

  • +1

Can't believe the Petstock price for Royal Canine! Code worked for Budget Pet.

  • +1

Far out this is a great deal.
Bought 30kg Maxi adult at Budget

    Order Summary
    Subtotal:$222.01
    Shipping fee:$0.00
    Other:-$77.70
    Total:$144.31

  • Does not work for me at Petbarn.
Works at Budget -> best price.
Works at petstock -> super high price.

    • Budget pet products is the best option for especially those in regional areas. Their free delivery above $49 is great.

      • Only problem is they are very slow to ship and have bogus verification steps that don't seem to work.

  • Has anyone got a text message from budget pets after they made the order saying 'to verify your account please email #order number to info@budgetpetproducts dot com.au before order will be released

    • Yep. But the sms never arrives, so can't verify. Seems a bit dodgey. are they legit? Not sure yet.

  • Also works for eukanuba at budget pet products

  • Thanks OP🙏

  • +2

Reduced price by $2 on a 7.5kg bag of king charles cav royal canin. Not even a competitive price

    • Edit: Budget pet products actually worked - I can't seem to remove my neg

      • +2

        • Legend, thank you!

  • Thank you it's so bargain to buy Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Mature Consult Pouches at Budget. Great found! Ozbargain indeed.

  • +1

Budget is a usual go to place for me, next to pet circle. Glad to see 25% is applied on the Royal Canin usual products I buy for my cat. That too on top of auto delivery pricing!
    Thanks OP!

  • +1

    Thanks OP !

  • Thanks OP.

Two 12kg bags of Royal Canin Labrador Adult dry food for $122 shipped at Budget Pet Products… cracking price.

  • Just used at https://www.petcircle.com.au.
Can confirmed working. Purchased 15kg bag of Maxi Ageing 8 Plus Senior Dry Dog Food for $98 with auto-delivery.

    • +1

Not sure why you're downvoted. I use that particular site a lot before purchasing as well.

      • Yeah, not sure. Just want to make people aware. A lot of dog food is very low quality.

  • Petbarn prices are outrageously high. They are monopolising the pet industry.

  • Petstock drops price back to Petbarn RRP.
Petbarn coupon doesnt apply to product. (Maxi 12kg)
Shipping to me for Budget Pet Products was $80.

  • tried the code with royal canin veterinary diet dental large dog - didn't work at petbarn, budgetpetproducts or petcircle.

    • Seems to have expired 2 days ago, I bought yesterday from BPP using ROYAL15 for an extra 15% off instead of 25 but it doesn't work on that product you are after

  • +2

Hey, the code worked again today on Budgetpetproduct !!

    • Better yet, it stacks with current promo code 15ROY!

      • Doesn't stack for me
